Shoot the baargers!

(A National Park Department offier demonstrating his courage by kneeling in the line of fire of a 12-gauge shotgun. Syabas!)

It was reported that residents in Jalan Wangsa, Bukit Antarabangsa have been “terrorised” by a herd of wild boar for the past few months. So the natural Malaysian knee-jerk reaction is to shoot the fuckers. Don’t cheer yet. They meant the boars, not the residents. But that’s not the scary part.

The Malay Mail today reported that officers from the National Parks Department swung into action armed with .22 rifles and 12-gauge shotguns! It doesn’t take an armaments expert to tell you that unless those pegawai-pegawai have Hollywood style fictional accuracy a .22 rifle is a very dangerous weapon around people. It has a killing range of 2 miles!

By the way, I live in Jalan Wangsa, Bukit Antarabangsa.

NIAMAH!!!

Elsewhere in the same story, a 22-year old student interviewed said, “They are also noisy and have given us many sleepless nights. I’m ticked off.” Well, pardon me all over the fucking place, miss. But I am sure the pigs are ticked off too. You’re living in their backyard. Without their written permission. Oh sorry, maybe she meant the flers with the guns were noisy and ticked her off.

NIAMAH!!!

Looks like a bunch of armchair politicians lost their way on the Internet and found themselves here. And being here they decided to let fly anyway.

The post was about shooting wild boars. How the hell did these comments come about?

Come on guys! Keep it focussed.

Trashed, I was wondering that too LOL but interesting nontheless :D

PT I was going to say that the baaargers who are shooting the wild boar will prob sell it back to Chinese businessmen for their restaurants or personal consumption...

Enterprising dont you think.....

I guess there will be no more cuddly 'Babe' movies in the near future, thanks to our 'pegawai' going Rambo and SWAT on these animals on people's backyards.

What happens to trappings or relocating wild animals to forest reserves?

I'm sure our 'pegawai' have firearms training with authorised instructors... oh, we're talking about Bolehland here,

National Parks Department? So what? Our cops get shotguns too, don't they? And everyone knows who trigger-happy they can get sometimes. But you know, they (them Parks fellows) at least have the sense to be doing the shooting at night. Remember how they were doing the same thing to wild dogs a long while back?

swallow, nothing wrong with cops being armed with shotguns if they know how to use them properly and I'm presuming they are trained. The killing range of shotguns are infinitely shorter than a .22 or a .38 or a .45 or a 9mm. I wouldn't want to be around when they shoot those off in public areas.

Okay mob 1900 you came to just in time. Thanks.

remesis, best to advise your g/f not to take evening walks. No, not the pigs. Stray .22 bullets.

cuddly, if they have the cow sense (no pun intended) to do that it would be saying something. LOL.
