How much is that chopper in the window......

The state of Malaysian politics?

How do you know that your country is in deep shit? Answer: When it goes shopping for military helicopters and..............

The Defense Ministry Secretary-General says they cost...............RM1.1 billion

The Deputy Defense Minister says.............................RM1.604 billion

The Prime Minister-cum-Defense Minister says...............RM1.7 billion

And then the Prime Minister announces that the correct figure is actually RM1.604 billion, but he had thought it was RM1.67 billion and had rounded it up to RM1.7 billion!!!!!! But of course being the nice fler he thinks he is he also said, "I apologise for my mistake." Well, thank you. Sir! You are also a very funny guy. Really! Hahahahahahahahahaha..........sorry ah.

In case you haven't been keeping abreast of the news in our Parliament our government apparently signed the deals for the purchase of these choppers without testing them!!! Well, Najib did say that our fly-boys flew them a couple of times around the padi fields when they were being shown at the Langkawi International Marine Aerospace (LIMA) show la. Great!!! Spend billions based on a joy-ride!!! Malaysia Boleh! Some things just don't change eh? Hold on! There'll be more to come as the Police flers have also said they want to buy helicopters. And they want 12!

And as if to prime us all for the type of government we can expect if Najib becomes Prime Minister, when he was asked by the Oppostion to appoint an independent expert panel to evaluate the procurement process he said, "They are making too much of a big deal out of it."

NIAMAH!!!

How funny that their mind even can round up that 1.67 billion to 1.70 billion!??

Billion is just like cents for them...

Rm 1.67 to RM 1.70 keh??? ish...

Anonymous said...

rm1.67 billion = rm1,670,000,000.00
rm1.70 billion = rm1,700,000,000.00difference = rm 30,000,000.00
= rm 30 juta

if nobody squeals anything about this deal .

This sort of mistake should not have come from a Prime Minister. He should have all facts in hand, down to the nitty gritty. You dont mess about with taxpayers money, my friend. If it was one of my execs, I'd deal with him swiftly.

But then we're talking Abdullah Badawi here, so what else is new...

To err is human, to 'aahh ahhh ahhh' is Pak Lah...

Najib is a real pukimak fler......
There are a lot more skeletons in the closet of the Defense Ministry.
Don't even know between joy ride and flight testing of the helicopter. Will Malaysia take this pukimak fler to be the next PM?

The original figure was said to be RM 2.01 billion. So, why so many figures floating around.

The best solution is to just give us the Euro $ cost since nowadays the exchange rate is so volatile.

But the key question around which they are deliberatley creating a smokescreen and avoiding answering is was the PM's son, brother or croney awarded an agency for the Euro Cockmamaie 725 Heli's? How much agency fees and why since they can negotiate G to G and save the Commission. This is not academic since corruption and conflcit of interest could be involved.

The PM explains that it was his oversight for announcing the wrong figure in the purchase price of Eurocopter but says those figures are now 'academic' as the deal was off.

Aduh!

BN focus on 'Academic'

DAP focus on 'Accountability'.

Now I know who to vote for in the next elction.

Is outcome of Munawar's appeal indicative of what we can expect from Zaki Azmi...new Boss of the Malaysian Judiciary
Chief Justice Zaki Azmi beginning to throw his true colours...

Will he be able to be INDEPENDENT of UMNO and his past friends, and be able to be concerned only with justice...

Will he be a progressive judge only concerned with JUSTICE - not fearful of developing the law so that justice be done...or will he just remain a tool of UMNO and his 'old friends'.

Also noted that Zaki Azmi was a businessman with involvement in a string of companies - and if so, he must recuse himself from any case involving those companies and/or related companies or even companies whereby his once fellow member of the Board of Directors or management is involved.

The former mentri round up from 1.604B - 1.1B = 0.504b and I roundup only 0.03B. And pls 30 million is nothing to me, I can make alot more. Oh ya sorry the original rounded up fig was 1.604 Sorry, sorry is my mistake I actually rounded up much more la. he,he,he Actually 0.096B only very small sum only. Can ka into my retirement fund. 0.096B??
I am not so good at figures. My Major was in REM means Rapid Eye Movement. I practise all the time even in mtgs, parliment sessions whenever I feel the need too...He,he,he. Ok la 0.096B ......???

This would make a perfect example to the "Hammer Theory"! and now that you have the figures... you'll know how much who is making!!!

buyer: how much is tis?
Supplier: 5 Ringgit
buyer: ok, deal!
buyer goes back to the office, and told supervisor: i bought these for 6 Ringgit
supervisor: ok, i'll report to the manager
supervisor reports to manager: we finally managed to get the cheapest option procured, this cost 8 Ringgit.
manager: good. i'll take it from here.
manager generates a cost analysis and forwards it to the Director: Cost 10 Ringgit, suggested selling price 13 Ringgit, however, the market will accept 15 Ringgit.
the next day, the sales personnel puts it on the rack with a RM25 price tag with a 20% discount tag... 2 hours later a customer buys this product for 20 Ringgit...

Isn't this brightening?

You see, when no one makes any noise, then it would be RM2.01 billion.
When someone makes a noise, then it is RM1.7 billion.
When people start to make noises, it becomes RM1.67 billion.
When the oppositions start to make a big fuss out of the deal, it changes to a little over RM1 billion.

So you can imagine what could have happened if no one had make any noise. The missing RM billions could easily have gone into someone else pocket.

.....and it isn't mine!

Wanna know who really loses in the end? Who will REALLY pay the price for all this nonsense?

Our brave young men and women serving in the armed forces who are still using that old Nuri helicopter.

They will end up paying with their lives!

Why so many figures...RM2.01B, RM1.67B,1.7B & 1.1B? Think of how much chaos there will be if our politicians became hawkers. Your char-kuey-teow wld be quoted at RM3 on the signboard, RM3.50 when you place your order, and then RM4 when it is delivered to yr table.

Damn shiok la these goons!

Anonymous,
Sadly we have a PM who is a perpetual oversighter, never seems to get any thing right and we will soon have a Najis as PM, probably another load of smelly thing (large lump of Najis) UMNO has made Malaysia a common joke among other nations, I am sure other countries who bought Eurocopters are laughing at the stupidity of our so called PM and soon to takeover Najis PM.
UM...NOOOOOOO!!!

According to Bank Negara the Rounding Mechanism is as follows:

The Rounding Mechanism is a method whereby the total bill amount (including goods and services subject to tax) is rounded upwards or downwards to the nearest multiple of 5 sen. In this regard, total bill amount that ends in 1, 2, 6 and 7 sen will be rounded down while 3, 4, 8 and 9 sen will be rounded up to the nearest multiple of 5 sen.
===========================

Not this flip flop say round up from 1.67 to 1.7.

If based on Bank Negara, it should be 1.6, now looks like this flip flop does not even understand simple Round Mechanism...

umno malays claimed that other races are taking advantage of the Malays rights and get the Malays to react and causes commotions.
is that so ?
it's more likely that umno malays are taking full advantage of nation unrest and swindle our wealth.
they keep saying that 30% Malays quota must be follow.
everything we give in to them , they only put umno malays into these companies and that left the Malays still far behind on their 30% quota,
so how to reach that target ?
who have lied and who have be conned?

"they are making too much a big deal out of it".

what a sentence from the PM in waiting. RM500 million difference is no big deal, Mr PM in waiting? oh, i forgot thats the standard difference for arms purchase, aint it? extra RM500 million for submarine, fighter jets purchases too? and its NO BIG DEAL coz it is going to the right pockets? NIAMAH.

Referring to Johnny B Rempit's statement, it is not only the men and women serving in the armed forces, especially in the Air Force, who will lose out in the end for using old and inferior air vehicles. Their families will suffer even more when these men and women lose their lives due to the recklessness and greediness of the people in power.

Families will lose a husband, a wife, a brother, a sister, etc because of these. And you know what? At the end of the day, these widows/widowers are being stigmatised just because they lose their partners in a crash that could have been prevented if the air vehicle is not inferior. What a joke, isn't it? We could have prevented many children to grow up without a father, including yours truly.
