I think all Malaysians should start really worrying now. Remember how whenever our prime minister says that something won't happen it does?

No. I am not going to get married so soon. Weeks later he does.

No. I will not dissolve Parliament. The next day he does.

No. That fler will not be Menteri Besar of Terengganu. Now he is.

Hold your breath people.....in the last few days the prime minister has also said that there will not be any increase in petrol prices in the near future....

I read today that our policemen are finally going to get some real gear for their work instead of those silly little badges and slogans they wear which do nothing more than make them look like under-fed security guards. From today, the IGP says, our policemen (except for the poor slobs breathing in carbon monoxide directing traffic) are going to be issued standard uniforms which will include communications devices, handcuffs, baton and pepper spray. In addition to their firearms I presume.

GREAT!!! It's about bloody time our men and women in blue get some decent treatment. If not in terms of salary then better equipment is a step in the right direction I say.

The police have announced a new motto too. Firm, Fair and Courteous. Not bad.

Then they also have a new badge. Which I presume they wear in place of the old one which said, Bersih, Cekap, Amanah. Or was it Saya Anti Rasuah? Anyway, the new badge says, "Integriti Amalan Kita".

I am wondering. Did Bukit Aman do a survey to find out how many police personnel understand the meaning of the word "Integriti"?

Both very easily understood. But "Integriti Amalan Kita"??? Huh?

And then the Sultan picked......

Aiyoh!!! Then how la??

And so His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Terengganu, who also happens to be the current Yang DiPertuan Agong or King of Malaysia, picked this fler to be the chief minister of his state. As was his right to do. Then those BN state assemblymen all rose up in arms and protested that they didn't agree with Tuanku's choice and that they wanted the other fler to be Menteri Besar. Pick our man, they said. Or we shall boycott the swearing-in ceremony. If none of the above then we will sack the fler from our gang for disobeying house rules.

Wah! Damn terror isn't it?

But isn't that being disrespectful to His Royal Highness? Err...well yes...actually no...our man is the people's choice (because we, the BN, won the state ma) so the Sultan must listen to the voice of the people and choose our man la. Err...no disrespect to Tuanku, of course.

I seem to remember that just days ago there was another call for a boycott of another swearing-in ceremony for the chief minister of another state. However, that time the call to boycott was not made by members of the Barisan Nasional.

I am sure you all also remember the big hue-and-cry that followed.

"Oi!!! How can you be so disrespectful to a Malay ruler?"

"Apologise to Tuanku for doubting his wisdom!"

Of course, that time all the protests and calls to protect the sanctity of the royal decision came from the losers of the state parliament. Most probably just wanting to grab a piece of the action before going back to shred more "sensitive" papers in their offices from where they were soon to be evicted.

Ah! Politics! The most fun one can have with clothes on. Errr...well, thanks to a certain loser and his 'friend' in a cheap hotel room even that is no longer true la.

Maybe I shouldn't believe it because it appeared in The Star. But the story today really pissed me off.

The Star's story in page N3 headlined "PKR 'no' to 8 slots for DAP".
The subtitle read, "It wants fair representation in exco".

The first headline sounds like a bunch of kids fighting over a bag of candy.

The second sounds like it was a fair enough request. Until you read the details. It appears that the PKR president, Dr. Syed Husin Ali wants the composition of the state exco to reflect the composition of Perak's population. Get it?

It's back to Malays, Chinese, Indians and lain-lain again!!!

Pardon me for my simplistic view of things. But didn't Malaysians vote Opposition because they were tired of race based politics? Didn't The Oppostition tell us to unite as ONE people? As Malaysians? Didn't we hear somewhere about the-BEST-people -will-get-the-job type of promises?

And now just days into the long struggle to prove itself The Opposition is telling us that it is all about race percentages? What the fuck!!!

And where is that Anwar Ibrahim in all this? Waiting to see what happens first issit?

Syabas! Well done! Congratulations! To all Malaysians who voted with intelligence and maturity to deny the Barisan Nasional a two-thirds majority in Parliament - I salute you. and I thank you. You have proven to me and all Malaysians that the power is in OUR hands. Thank you.

Like millions of other Malaysian citizens I went home from wherever I was to cast my vote and make my voice as a loyal citizen heard. As millions of fellow Malaysians I stayed up the night to follow the results of the polling as they came online, on television, by sms and phone calls. And as millions of concerned, loyal Malaysians I rejoiced when the BN lost their two thirds majority, when Selangor became an Opposition state and when other BN 'strongholds' and BN big guns fell in the onslaught of an empowered rakyat eager and demanding for TRUTH and CHANGE. And as the morning sun rose and signalled a new day for my country I fell asleep with the comforting thought that my homeland is entering a new era.

When I read the newspapers the next two days they were merely repeating what was already old news on the Internet, blogs and sms's. Catchphrases like Dawn of a New Era, BN needs to reinvent, re-brand, A Wake Up Call for ruling coalition...Ho Hum...it was getting boring to read about the elections already. Our writers in the MSM appear to have mastered the art of repetition.

Then a friend of mine alerted me to a story about a BN loser in Subang Jaya.

This Lee Hwa Beng chap lost in the contest for Kelana Jaya by 5,031 votes. Okay, in any elections there are losers and winners. But this thick skinned fler has the cheek to say, "I forgive them, there's no bitterness at all. This is God's will..."

He forgives the people who didn't vote for him? Just who the hell does he think he is? And he blames it on God that he lost? You lost because you didn't do the job that your constituents voted you in the last time to do. Pure and simple. God didn't screw up. You did, Lee. Take the rap and beg forgiveness from Him for using His name in vain.

Jeeesus!!! The nerve of some people. Really!
