Any last words?

Who will seal the MCA coffin in Kuala Terengganu?

At a typical Chinese funeral the undertaker will ask the family if there are any last words they would like to say to the deceased before the coffin is closed and nailed shut. Today, MCA President, Ong Tee Keat did that 'honour' to the party before the KT Chinese voters hammer in the nails to shut the MCA out of the Kuala Terengganu by-elections (hopefully la). Why? Read this Bernama report...

MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat said the party would take advantage of the Kuala Terengganu by-election campaign until polling on Jan 17 to identify the needs of Chinese voters in the parliamentary constituency.

Ha???!!! Take advantage of the by-election to identify needs of Chinese voters??? All the years that BN (where MCA is a partner) have ruled the state you never identified the needs of the Chinese in KT? Or attended to them?

Now if you think that nail didn't do the job these statements certainly shot in the final nails into MCA's political coffin in KT......

Based on MCA's experience in several by-elections before, each state has its priorities which may reflect the needs of voters, which can also be influenced by the kind of local and national issues raised during the campaign period. Therefore, the MCA needs to identify the concerns and priorities of the Chinese voters to enable the party to provide the feedback on the issues raised...But what is important is for the Barisan Nasional (BN) by-election machinery to work harder to win the hearts of the constituents.

Translate that from Political Speak into English and it could mean...

We'll tell the Chinese flers that we will give them what they want so they will vote for us. After that...who cares. Promise only what. You mean must keep one meh?

NIAMAH!!!

MCA is dying
The roots of evil has spread into it
It doesn’t need a veteran to know
Some already say the president is a dictator
Look at him shutting out his deputy

Identifying needs of the Chinese
He just wakes up from his long sleep
Like the sleeping beauty of UMNO
This guy too suddenly finds he needs to defend
The goods for the Chinese

Over 5 decades what MCA doing?
Enriching themselves with contracts and wealth
Leaving the poor Chinese fighting their battles
Only in buy elections MCA talks about Chinese needs

When I was staying in a kampong
I knew a Chinese guy who wasn’t rich then
One day he joined MCA a year or two he became
The branch chairman then wealth he prospered
Opening a shop showing off his wealth

One day of many years later
I was told his shop burned to the ground
I didn’t know what happened to him
I knew he left the kampong never heard anymore

Likewise in MCA
The fire is burning
Swallowing them in smoke
It is just a better of time
The party will go down to the ground

The last nail on the coffin
Niamah it will happen in next election
Then MCA will be history
The party forgets we are Malaysians
Living together enjoying our multi-racial heritage

Vigil, protest, demonstrations,even gatherings etc

When and how to carry out such activities without being jailed. Follow the rules:

1. if organise by BN, sometimes can be jailed (seldom but possible), depends on which component party;

2. if organise by umno, no problem, suck ok;

3. if organise in the name of PR, sure go t jail;

4. if no party involved, depends on who is involved;

5. if come straight fr friday prayer, sure can because if you arrest them, they may be licenced to kill (007);

6. if you come from temple or church; think 3 times ok. No licence, no permit. Watch out.

Basically follow these rules and you will be safe. Happy demonstrations.

You can cheat the people for some time but fifty years of plundering and cheating the coffers of the nation is too much. It looks like the coffers of the nation is their own kitty bank and therefore UMNO the pluderer together with their lapdogs MCA & MIC must be removed otherwise nothing would be left for our Children’s Children as the riches of Malaysia will be syphoned off by all these UMNO thieves, robbers & goons.

Look at the Billions in Wang Ehsan from Petronas for Terengganu State that were squandered by the present PeeM and his SIL Khairy on the Crystal Mosque and the Mariner Yacht Club and the other many Billions of the Federal Government are lost through the expensive purchasing of Helicopters, Aircrafts and Submarines by DeePM Narjis the most greedy of the lot who selected the most expensive so that he can receive kickbacks and bribes and resulting in the murdering of Altantuya for uneven split distribution of the loot. Do you think you can trust him to be the next PeeM, probably he would have sold off Malaysia including his mother for some gravy.

Yeah, I am a 100% "Chinese Malaysian" and I 100% support hudud law too! Why, since PDRM cannot catch and solve many crimes especially those not concern UMNO-putras and petty-as-can-be crimes, let the hudud law shame the corrupted UMNO-BN guys in public once and for all!!!

If it's a law properly implemented, why afraid....aye to hudud law. Tok Guru, please explain to the people, especially the Chinese Malaysians.

In Umno, MCA's future lies

By Leslie Lau and Shannon Teoh

Jan 15 - With its top two leaders barely on speaking terms, and having lost the support of a majority of the Chinese in Malaysia, the MCA has been trying to reinvent itself as a more vocal party willing to stand up for the community.

It has weighed in more strongly on issues like the concept of Ketuanan Melayu, or Malay Supremacy, Hudud, and it is even questioning a number of government policies.

But still, analysts say the party will have little hope of regaining the backing of the Chinese if there are no reforms in Umno, the MCA's senior partner in Barisan Nasional (BN) which has been perceived, despite the denials of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, as a bully in the ruling coalition.

"There is no need to talk about what MCA does now. The DAP is the party of the Chinese," a business tycoon who once had close ties with former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, told The Malaysian Insider recently.

Indeed even in the current Kuala Terengganu by-election campaign, the key Chinese vote is already leaning towards Pas, an Islamist party which has ideals anathema to the Chinese. And many of the 8,000 over Chinese voters in Kuala Terengganu are reportedly MCA members.

Since last year's general election, MCA has been struggling to make itself relevant again, as Chinese Malaysians gave their vote to Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and now hail DAP as their political leaders.

The party has been attacking both PR and BN policies and statements in a bid to realign itself with the aspirations of its constituents.

Most recently, president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat announced that the party would look into setting up a platform to allow the public to give feedback on the party and its activities.

None of these initiatives have excited the Chinese community yet. The MCA's more critical stand on issues is also being perceived as hypocritical.

The spat between Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, the MCA president, and Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, his deputy, has not helped the party's cause.

A central committee member told The Malaysian Insider that when he visited Kuala Terengganu recently, he found that support was "dampened, as the Chinese voters were frustrated that the party did not seem united."

More important is the fact that the MCA is finding it hard to shake off the perception that the party is subservient to Umno.

Observers say that the party has been tasked to hype up the issue of hudud among Chinese voters on BN's behalf as the strict Islamic code is a thorny issue for Umno itself to handle among the Malay electorate.

Party insiders however, say that the central issue for Chinese voters is whether or not MCA even has the ear of Umno in addressing Chinese issues.

Simply being the "opposition voice in BN" is not enough, but it has to be able to "articulate and create an actual impact."

A recent independent survey found that three-quartersof Chinese voters in Kuala Terengganu felt that by voting for PR, it could send a signal to BN to treat non-Bumiputeras more equally.

Political analyst Wong Chin Huat believes that if Umno loses and learns this lesson, then ironically, it could do more good for MCA.

"Then Umno will realise that it must hand component parties such as MCA a greater measure of political clout to regain the confidence of non-Malay voters, or face losing more seats where non-Malays represent the swing vote in the next general election," he said.

"If it does not push for reform from a position where it is willing to leave BN, then being vocal only makes them a paper tiger," Wong concluded.

Pointedly, in the run-up to the MCA polls last October, Ong had said, "There is no such thing as an eternal partnership."

If MCA is an equal partner in BN why MCA has to always raise funds for Chinese education like pestering many poor Chinese taxi drivers etc to donate to TAR College, UTAR, Chinese Primary Schools etc? If MCA is an equal partner and has the same political clout as UMNO there is no need to raise funds like that, just solve this funding issue in BN meeting and surely money will be there. Instead, on the pretext of doing good deeds raising funds for Chinese education it is a direct reflection that MCA has no say in BN at all. Education is the responsibility of the government of the day. When MCA go about, solve funding problem in the wrong way, there will be lots of money saved and the money saved by the government may end up in the corrupted politician's pocket. So there is no point supporting MCA, simply because in supporting MCA it helps BN in perpetuating UMNO hegemony.

Flash back.The year 2004. A year when many bright Chinese students scored with flying colours in the STPM but were denied a place of their choice in the local universities (IPTA). Then came MCA as the hero of the poor Chinese student pledging to help them make appeals. MCA put the current deputy minister of education (that fler kua from Ayer Hitam, Johore)to champion their cause. Everyone wrote in including myself on behalf of my daughter who was one of the students with very good results. I even went to MCA Jln Ampang to submit all the relevant documents and a standard letter of appeal. I even wrote an email to that kua fler. There was not even an acknowledgment from either the MCA or that fler. So stop talking cock lah MCA. Don't say hollow things and dont claim anything if you canot deliver your promises. To this day I will remember your betrayal to the Chinese community in the country. Talking is cheap and it also doesnt cost anything. The Chinese community in KT knows too well that these are just empty talks. You the MCA running dogs can cheat (or more likely fcuk) them once but not repeatedly lah. Time to call it quits. The people in KT have voiced their dissent. Its time to run and retreat with your tail between your hind legs. NIAMAH !
