You better watch out, you better not......

Malaysia. Our country. Our home.

The Berita Harian today carried an editorial written by the Group Managing Editor of The New Straits Times, Zainul Ariffin Isa which, to say the least, is quite scary.

In the article entitled, “Kematian Teoh timbulkan pelbagai spekulasi politik” he accused the opposition of politicising the death of political secretary, Teoh Beng Hock to weaken Malay-controlled institutions. (I always thought that government departments were all part of a non-partisan civil service. When did they become Malay-based institutions?)

He also wrote, "It is not just the Chinese or supporters of the Pakatan Rakyat who know anger and seek justice. Suspicions have been raised especially among the non-Malays that MACC, which like other departments have many Malay officers, selectively chose non-Malays to be investigated".

This is even more agitating.....

“Why did the Selangor MB, a Malay, question those of his own race to act fairly?”

Huh???

Anybody going to pick this journalist fler up for some good old Malaysian-style interrogation...I mean, interviewing? The Home Ministry going to check when the fler's publications' KDN's are up for renewal? Surely they will right? What? You mean .... same boss ah? Oh I see.....

But anyway, whatever la.

Encik Zainal, it is not a racial thing. A young political secretary died under rather mysterious circumstances. Of course with such a tragic occurrence people in the community will get emotional and vocal and ask questions and demand to get to the truth. The truth. That's all. Surely that one can isn't it? Why do you have to go and make it all so ..... racial?

The Malays are the majority by a long way in every public service area ranging from the Civil Service to teaching to the MACC and Police.

If every time we question these bodies about the adequacy of service or complain against their officers, it is seen as questioning or attacking the integrity of Malays, that's not fair or acceptable.

Our complaints have nothing to do as regards anyone's race. That must clearly understood. Otw, the rest of us would be reduced to the equivalent of 2nd class koolies who will be of the 'yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir' cowed citizens variety.

Other Malaysian newspapars (mostly those which publish in languages other than Malay) would never dare initiate and print an editorial such as this.

To do so would be to jeopardise the annually renewable KDN licence that is required to publish a newspaper in Malaysia.

I think the malicious cyber troopers who sometimes visit your blog will not contest this fact.

DAMN right, En.Zainal. NIAAAMAH!!!

macam mana orang macam ni boleh jadi Group Managing Editor is everybody's guesses. mesti pandai mengipas dan menjilat.

tunggu satu hari kalau any of his family members kena macam Arwah Beng Hock, baru dia tahu tinggi rendahnya langit. kan Uncle Patrick?

but uncle, in the first place, why leh you read Berita Harian??? ran out of toilet paper izit? ngeeee

Aiyah, this Zainal is a racist for starters. He is just doing what he does best.

I guess deep down inside, Mr. Zainal knows that it is racial. He's just seizing this opportunity to appease his political master.
Siapa makan cili dia tahu pedas la.

Zainal is the newly appointed Group Managing Editor of NST Group.

If his intelligence or expertise or experience was the basis for his appointment of for this Government owned media group, I think whatever effort by Najib to promote One Malaysia is definitely going down the longkang.

If Najib is sincere for 1Malaysia, I would expect Najib summon this Zainal and ask him to explain for this racial tone and we as Rakyat want to know what action Najib will take in this case.

Otherwise do you think we plebian Rakyat will trust the government.

This is the very simple and obvious reason that we always have doubt of the govt agencies, eg. MACC, PDRM, etc.

Please Najib, make a change !!

This brain dead Zainol ought to be removed from office. Had it been a Malay or Indian, the puclic anger is still the same. Had it been anoyone from UMNO or MCA or MIC, the public anger is still the same. I wonder what would this brain dead Zainol say if his son got thrown down from 14th floor of Malaysian Accredited Corruption Corporation.

And what political conspiracy? I only know one thing for sure - Teoh Beng Hock did not jump to his death. This Ahmad Said Hamdan should be able to provide some details on how TBH died.

Why make it racial, Patrick? Because that is the last line of defense; these political appointees at msm have to polish shoes and when intelligent arguments cannot be found, there is always the racial card. Sick, sick, sick sods. That is why I don't read NST, very little of the STAR and none of the Malay Mail of late. I am fast losing all hope for this country. Where are all my moderate, well to do, educated Malay friends? They are so quiet.

This is nothing do with race , it is our citizen's minimum right--hak asasi rakyat!

That's why we all, many bloggers said is a Malaysian, a Malaysia citizen's dead. Kematian anak sejati Malaysia, rakyat malaysia yang sah, dan sejati. Why mentioned about race, do you think no Malay has been tortured like this, see Anwar Ibrahim, actually many been tortured are Malays(this is facts as you can see a large part of youth criminals are Malays). Berita Tipuan, just like Utusan maling-siar are idiot papers--they try to play racial issue, but I guarantee you all, they will fail!

Gestapo style in Hitler era already collapsed, now MACC are using same tactics again......we will not torelate, we will not let them run away from full responsibility!

Berita Tipuan can play this issue, but when anger high as the sky, see who will be the loser?

One Malaysia will become an illusion, no one will believe this slogan if Najib didn't take any action on this Managing Editor of Berita Harian--Berita Tipuan!

If Najib wish to convience people use your actions--we all not blind, you do the good things/deeds, we will know, but first of all, fire this Berita Tipuan's managing editor, let us see your action!!!

They are turning defensive because they are not keen for the truth to come out of this tragic episode.

A life is lost, and in Malaysia, it always seems that life is cheap to those who wield much too much power.

They can politicize this issue all they want, but nothing is going to convince me that Teo was not a victim of political persecution.

Until we get the truth, it is unfortunately that MACC will be known as a Malaysian Agency for Cover-ups and Conspiracy, or a licensed Syarikat Pembunuh Rakyat Malaysia, or SPRM in Malay.

In the 1st place , why did Emperor Lim Guang Eng issued a statement indicating it was MACC's fault for the death of the late Teoh Beng Hock? Cant he just wait till investigations are over? Its easy to point fingers here and there, what if MACC assumed and made a statement it was the "doing" of DAP members to cover "something"? Dont you all think its gonna make things worse? Just wait for the result laaa..

We have read columns written by the new NST and BH editorial boss Zainul Ariffin and more often than not there's always a tinge of racial undertones in his writing. His political master should be proud of him.

It has reached a point where journos in the Umno-controlled papers are now in tune with each other to propogate and defend themselves with racial rhetorics that will justify their being in position of power.

As one commentator put it: " It is these "covert bigots" who present the biggest challenge to Najib's efforts to build a united nation and his promise to create a nation of peace and harmony.

What do people like this group managing editor of NST and BH care except to use his column to promote his own spin to please his political master whoever he is. This is a person to keep a wary eye on and see how he twists and turns this BH and NST into contemptible rags. I used to buy the NST but no more.

“Why did the Selangor MB, a Malay, question those of his own race to act fairly?” Zainul wrote in BH.

What this ketuanan melayu smartass wrote truly reveals himself for what he is - a racist editor with a dark agenda on his mind and belonging to the same league as those operating from Utusan Melayu. Not to mention another one who is running the Malay Mail.

Zainul's racist comment is creating racial disharmony and seditious enough to warrant him to be hauled up for publishing inflamatory articles.

Yes, It's a crying shame that this man with his blinkered view is in charge of two national newspapers and using them as propaganda machines and spewing dangerous rhetorics to all and sundry.

He should be locked up because he's a danger to a peaceful and harmonious society.

Honestly, this kind of people have a king-sized inferiority complex. So they are what they are.

As one commentator put it: " It is these "covert bigots" who present the biggest challenge to Najib's efforts to build a united nation and his promise to create a nation of peace and harmony.

This moronic group managing editor of NST and BH uses his column to promote his own spin to please his political master whoever he is and finally got his reward as NST GME. This is a person to keep a wary eye on and see how he will twist and turn BH and NST into contemptible rags eventually. I used to buy the NST but no more. It's now a newspaper where you DON'T get to read the real news and the truth. It's full of craps.

Just imagine how those non-Malay staff, especially in NST, would feel if they know that their boss is a racist who writes like a ketuanan melayu and an Umno ultra. How would they come to terms with this uneasy situation in the NST?

What this dumbass wrote in BH truly reveals himself for what he is - a racist editor with a dark agenda on his mind and belonging to the same league as those operating from that mudraker, Utusan Melayu. Not to mention another one who is now running the Malay Mail.

Zainul's racist comment can erode harmony and create greater animosity. It should be deemed seditious enough to warrant him to be hauled up for publishing inflamatory articles.

Yes, It's a crying shame that this little Napoleon with his blinkered view of bigotry is in charge of two national newspapers and using them as propaganda machines and spewing dangerous rhetorics when the citizenry already has enough political migraine to worry about.

He should be locked up because he's a danger to a peaceful and harmonious society. Najib should wake up and send this pathetic moron a rocket before he does further damage to his image. I'm sure there are much better editor material than this dumbass if Najib looks around.

DPM said UMNO needs to reform in 2 years?

I guess it is too late.

---------------------------------
As reported in The Star on 25 July 2009:

The Deputy Prime Minister, in a hard-hitting speech, warned members that change was not an option to prevent Umno from becoming a footnote in the nation’s history.

“We cannot avoid or deny that change must happen now. I have given us two years to change because in three years, we will be close to another general election.

“So we have to take drastic steps and actions. If that does not happen and the general public thinks we have not changed, they will not support us at party level and also at the Federal Government level,” he said when opening the Tanjung Umno division meeting here yesterday.

He urged the divisions to go back to basics and remove the public perception that Umno only looked out for certain quarters.

“Unless we change and understand the critical situation, we will perish and our legacy will be thrown into the dustbin of history.

“The change must begin from us and the best start is to return to the basics of our struggle.
