Ha! Ha! Good one, Patrick. You know your history well unlike our last two PMs (not PMS) plus the current one. They've got no clue at all...

Happy Holiday to you and your family ... and all the Niamah readers!!!!

Dear Patrick

You're right, it's Happy Holidays for us Sarawakians and Sabahans this coming 31st August, as we joined Malaya to form Malaysia only on 16th September 1963. Your Merdeka from British rule in 1957 has zero significance for us.

If at all, the BN ruled Government of the day regards us as Malaysians too, they should be focusing on celebrating Malaysia Day. You mean they just want our oil money and 50 parliamentary seats only ah?

Awwww I dunno, seems to me that singing Negaraku is a risky affair unless Rais (the orphan) can come to terms on the settlement of royalties to be paid to Indonesia going by this:

FRONTPAGE JAKARTA GLOBE:

“Copying the song is a violation of intellectual property rights according to the law. We demand that the government take strong action, not just send a note of protest.

“We have to unite against Malaysia, as they keep on stealing Indonesia’s assets,” Ruktiningsih said.

Lokananta lawyer Jaka Irwanta said “Terang Bulan” and “Negaraku” were 80 percent the same. “We will take the case to the International Court [of Justice] if the Indonesian government is incapable of taking no stronger action than a protest note,” Jaka said.

Uncle Teoh, I like your ringtone very much. I missed your deep voice back in your radio DJ time when you hosted the ghost stories segment after midnight. It was a MUST-LISTEN. Really freakin' me out.

P.S: But I'm not going to use that as my ringtone.

This is my saddest Merdeka Day.

1Malaysia 'concept' can allow the 'Section 23 Cow-head incident'?

Where is ISA and anti-sedition Act?

I lost my faith!

THE ONLY THING GOOD THIS "52ND MERDEKA" WAS THEY SAVED SOME MONEY, OTHERWISE MILLIONS WILL BE WASTED AGAIN AND ALL THE CONTRACTORS WILL LAUGH THEIR WAY TO THE BANKS!

THERE IS NO NEED TO CELEBRATE, WE HAVE GONE BACKWARDS, RACIAL TENSION IS AT ITS PEAK, POLITICAL SQUABBLES AT ITS HEIGHT, ECONOMIC SITUATION AT ITS BLEAK, CRIME AT ITS HIGHEST LEVELS, SCANDALS AFTER SCANDALS OF ENORMOUS CORRUPTION, ABUSED OF HUMAN RIGHTS, ABUSED OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, AND WORST MURDERS AND KILLING OF THE INNOCENT UNDER THE DISGUISE OF WHO KNOWS WHAT!

Tell the minister to do something about our difficulty in buying sugar!

Hi, Patrick. Happy Merdeka. This merdeka I put a curse on everybody in BN and those in PR who are behaving like ass holes. I'm even going to a bomoh to make it happen. I'm gonna e-mail the US and Israel to invade and conquer us and put things right. Want them to make Zaid or Ku Li the PM. Or even RPK. Cheers, Dennis. Heehee! Only jokinglah!

"The Prime Minister has called on Malaysians to “repair the bridges and tear down the divisive walls” that exist among the races.

In his National Day message, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said opportunistic people had exploited the friction among the people to cause the bridges, which were painstakingly built by the nation’s founding fathers, to become shaky." THE STAR.

...a sad case of " too little too late" maybe ???

Sometimes I think we could be better off if we are still under colonial rule. Merdeka or no merdeka? I think no merdeka would have been better

Even the current oil stuff proves that we are "SEDANG MAJU... TAPI KE BELAKANG"

That's the Merdeka gift to us Malaysians?
