Former Umno vice president, Isa Samad claims that he is "not a criminal". The former Negeri Sembilan mentri besar is being proposed by the Teluk Kemang Umno division to stand as candidate for the Bangan Pinang by-election coming up. Isa was suspended for 3 years by Umno for vote buying in 2004. Isa dismissed the suggestion that he would be a liability to Barisan Nasional if he is fielded in the Bagan Pinang by-election.
“In the opposition, even a former prisoner could contest,” Isa told a press conference in an apparent reference to Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was imprisoned for six years.
“I’m not a criminal,” he added.

We don't mean to put you in the same low class as that dis-barred lawyer up north. The fler was so stupid and tried to hide his sacking by the Bar Council. You are different, Tan Sri. You were not dis-barred nor were you imprisoned. You were just suspended what. Suspension only, right?
We don't mean for you NOT to contest in the by-election in Bagan Pinang. We WANT you to contest against whoever the other flers put up to run against you.
Go for it, Tan Sri. Show the baargers!!! Yes! If THEY can field a former prisoner for an election YOU can jolly well stand for this one too. YEAH!!!

Patrick, let me tell you what actually happened. It was all a misunderstanding alright.
You see, one day the Supreme Council told Tun Abdullah to get rid of the ISA, ie, the Internal Security Act, as part of his reform programes. But of course, Isa Samat got suspended instead, for obvious reason.
So, please la. Give the man a break okay.
One person was wrongly imprisoned and one was wrongly let off. Choose the innocent one. WHo is innocent, you decide.
a criminal is the one who did/ does crime... it doesnt matter whether he's convicted/ jailed or not. aiyoo... i really hate isa's face. he's clearly a criminal and he still got the face to admit he's not? and now he's finger pointing others to be worse than him. puhleesss... he might also 'bought' others to cover his previous crimes as well.
anyway, good luck in your election, isa. I hope NSembilan people (esp Bagan Pinang) still remember what he had done during his term as MB of NS.

Want to know ISA stands for? I Sudah Akhir(finished) but like the famous slogans, 'just do it' or 'go for it'. This is good for PR.

in umno politics, a ketua bahagian is that area's WARLORD. So when he saw that there is vacancy in his area, THAT WARLORD will grab for it.
He knew Najib HAVE to give him that seat as candidate...coz he USED TO HAVE SAVED Najib when the latter was caught with an artiste in PD, the WARLORD's territory!. and I believed this master tongue twister is the most respected in umno in that category!. So he can give a million reasons to be made the umno choice!.
I am from Seremban. And umno Seremban is the most notorious bahagian in NS. The current head, I heard was being harassed by the current MB to leave the post. Obviously, the warlord stands. And I heard, this warlord who used to be a prick poking Isa when he was MB has just MADE PEACE with Isa just few months ago.
With Isa's impending Umno NS is going to be HOT!. Current MB is paklah's choice!. This Isa is Mahadei's blue eye boy once!.....
