Don't like ah?

Malaysia. You don't like ah? Then fuck off la!

Malaysia is now ranked as the 3rd best country in ASEAN to live. And we're only behind Singapore and Brunei. And globally we are ranked 66th out of 182 countries. This is according to United Nations data released this week. Phwaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Damn good eh? But if you bother to read the rest of the press release you will also discover that Malaysia’s GDP per capita in 2007 was US$13,518 (RM46,495), compared to Botswana’s US$13,604. We're not as good as Botswana???!!! Anyway, we are the 3rd most desirable country to live in, in ASEAN.

Remember that well people. Sometime in the future you might be reading headlines that say,

"Critics of Barisan Nasional told to leave the country if they don't like it"

What? Don't like ah? Go la! Lots of people want to come and live in the 3rd most desirable ASEAN country, you know.

Niamah!!!

Pat,
Don't forget that there is gold in Botswana. That probably accounted for the similar GDP figure.

Patrick,

Aiyah uncle, Botswana does not have our beloved UMNO (Ketuanan Melayu) led BN government. And Botswana is not Botswana Boleh so how to compare with our Bolehland? We are a much better country to live than Botswana because we have :-
1) more openly corrupted politicians, judiciary, police, MACC, EC, civil service,
2) 1Malaysia
3) higher crime rates, mat rempits, bohsias,
4) good education system with many half past six universities with half past six professors with forged degrees/doctorates
5) C4 experts
6) people who blow themselves up, beat themselves up and jumping off 14 floors while in custody
7) Immigration auto purging records system
8) french cap type submarines
9) porn stars politicians, good guilt politicians,
10) cow head lovers
11) dentists owning 24 million mansions but valued at 2.4 million
12) and many many more desirable Malaysia Bolehs

That's why Malaysia is the 3rd best country to live in Asia to live!!!!!! Yippee

ASEAN .... not ASIA if I am not mistaken, after Singapore and Brunei.

Globally we are 66th....there are many other Asian countries ahead of us, like Japan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, etc...

Malaysian Chinese and Indians with good honors degree should consider going to Singapore which is base on Merits and Rule of Law. Singapore welcome you.

Anonymous said...

Aiseh Patrick, inaccuracy here. Report says Malaysia is 3rd best among ASEAN nations only, ie, 3rd best out of 10 countries. Not 3rd best in Asia. *snort* As if Malaysia could compare to Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong....

From a very thought-provoking article by Dina Zaman, "The Malay dilemma Edisi XYZ":

"that the NEP and handout-mentality have ruined the Malays. Perhaps. But one must remember that the NEP had noble intentions, but like all intentions, went pear-shaped as it benefited the political and business elite. It did not benefit the average Malaysian. And when one has dreams, and who does not have dreams, short-term gains are very attractive."

"My humble theory is that we Malays are insecure and scramble towards status and wealth, simply because we have a shorter tradition of monarchy, Islam and trade, unlike our Chinese and Indian counterparts. And because of that complex, we Malay-Malaysians accelerated our growth, perhaps to our detriment. Call it the Ferrari NEP."

I think this is a desirable country to live with ! The answers are all around us :-

1 ) Our PM champion our rights and that's why we don't have 2Malaysia !

2 ) No need to learn England so hard and we can understand England. Our DPM can teach you.

3 ) One minister who is dare to fight even now, he is fighting with his no. 2 for the president post.

3 )We can tell other people of other countries that we have 1 st class facilities like Putrajaya, KLIA, Petronas Twin Towers, Highland Towers, Bukit Antarabangsa, etc.

4 ) In other countries, a corrupted person in China will be fired by a firing squad, whereas here in Malaysia, you will become a hero !!!

5 ) There is a food champion minister who can champion even our food rights locally and internationally ! So, Ipoh fella should be proud of our heritage such as Ipoh Ngar Choi Kai !

6 ) People who borrow educational loan and there is no need or hurry to pay back. The people in-charge won't harass you and when you really don't pay, then they will have a press conference ! The best is nobody have to resign or get sacked !

7 ) Whatever cracks in whichever building, road, etc. God gets the blame. These are acts of God and not humans !

8 ) When someone died and has links with the Malaysian government, steady lah and jangan gabra ! Sure can kow tim ! Whatever Royal Commission Of Enquiry won't work because anyone can utter the same formula, looks like me, sounds like me but it is not me !

9 ) You talk Big, ISA is awaiting you. So no need to be clever also can represent a community. Best still, be a YB = Yes Boss !

10 ) A lot of good things await you who become a resident of Malaysia, 1Amanah Saham Malaysia, 1Petrol, 1Drink, 1House, F1, is there for the 1Malaysians !

11 ) No more niamah here and there !!!

Anonymous said...

Patrick, you miss out one thing. The report also said that Malaysia was 63th last year! Why are we moving further behind? Also please remember that Malaysia was equal in status with Singapore 25 to 30 years ago. So nothing for Malaysian to brag la.

Anonymous said...

Being 3rd best is not really 3rd best. Ranking of Singapore and Brunei is far ahead in the ranking. Malaysia is 66 but don't think Singapore and Brunei are 64 and 65 respectively. They are way up there.

Very deceiving isn't when the reporting is done without giving you a good comparison.

Read Zorro unmasked.
"As I was writing this posting, I received a call from Port Dickson to confirm that the people who attend the recent function where PM Najib had announce the renaming of Port Dickson as the Army Town had received an envelope containing cash worth RM300. How fortunate are these people to be receiving such largesse from our generous PM, and if only I knew, I wouldn't mind lining up among the mass to receive the cash that is more than sufficient to pay off my petrol expenses."....Brigadier General (Rtd) Datuk Muhammad Arshad Raji wrote.

We have made our nest !

So begone with all these polls and UN Datas - it really isn't such a bad place to call home.

Just need to rid ourselves of these entrenched politicians who habitually dipped their hands in the till. Must not forget to shoo off their chums, sidekick and cronies too. Then we can start anew.

Yes brainpower and not brawnpower is the greatest asset of any country and Singapore a country with hardly any natural resources has proven it to the world.

Sadly bcos of race politics Malaysia has been losing their brain power to the rest of the world but keeps on importing brawnpower to play the demographic game. We have heard so many times from our politicians that we must face the demographic reality of the country nowadays since the objective of getting the "right kind" of immigrants into the country has been realised. You may have won the superiority game in numbers game but lost out immeasurably in quality. In today globalised world quality of your human assets is paramount to the success and progress of any country.

What makes USA so great is the quality of their human resources and they unshamedly poached talents from all over the world and your skin colour and/or religious beliefs are of little consequence to them if you can contribute to their country development and progress.

Why uh you ask 1Malaysia stands for what?

We all go to 1Utama so many countless times since opening, but I do not hear any one ask the developer what 1Utama stand for?

HaHaHa.

But it is trendy now for example; I just come across two 3 square. Earlier we have Jaya33, Lot10, First World (Hotel)etc.

Anonymous said...

Ai yuh why people want to know what 1Malaysia stands for?

We have gone to 1Utama so many umpteen times, but I have not heard anyone ask the developer what 1Utama stands for?

Hahaha.

It is very trendy now as we now have Jaya33, Lot10, two-3-square, Jaya9, First World Hotel, etc.

We used to have all sorts of "Jaya" like Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, then "Baru" like Bandar Baru. Now it will be 1 -
1Petaling, 1Subang, 1Damansara,
1Kepong, 1Bangi. Better register them before it gets copied.

There is an advert on tv from a mobile phone provider (I think it is DIGI). They keep knocking down the 1 symbol. When I first saw it I thought someone was trying to run down the 1 concept. Surprise that the advert is not banned by the higher ups

Malaysia will be a great place to live, given the assurance by Najib in realising his 1Malaysia concept by the following statement he made:

“If we can focus on improving and strengthening the relationship between the races, Malaysia can become the most successful country in terms of race relations, in comparison with other nations.

“This is my hope because we have a big future ahead of us. Let’s pray that we will continue our cooperation with the 1 Malaysia mindset,”

So be optimistic unless it is a case of 'Baik Punya Cilok' by our PM.
