Fantastic Facts and Funnies

In other words they all can but you cannot. Tu je. Faham?

Today's fantastic fact and funny comes from none other than the master himself, Nazri Aziz. The minister in the Prime Minister's Department (one of quite a few others drawing a salary there I believe).

According to the report in today's Star Nazri said, "Christians in Sabah and Sarawak should be allowed to use the word “Allah” because it has been part of their custom for decades........."

But "......they must respect the sensitivities of those in the peninsula, who are uncomfortable with the use of the word by non-Muslims, and not use the word here"

“I have been to a church in Sabah and I know that the Kadazans and Ibans refer to God as Allah. The Muslims there are used to it. That is their custom, let it be."

“But when they are in semenanjung (peninsular Malaysia), then they must respect our custom here, which means that you cannot use the word ‘Allah’, because people here cannot accept it...."

HUH???!!!

But okay before you flers start firing off comments blaming Umno for this Nazri was quick to add that this was merely his personal opinion on the Allah issue.

NIAMAH!!!

I don't understand why every thing they say just "tak masuk akal" la.........I really pity those Ministers who sit in Putra Jaya. Don't they think logically before giving statement ?? Very immature remark !!.....He is playing a fool with with Christians. Now, he decides how a Christian in Malaysia should pray ?!......What next.... ban AMEN as well?

PM Najib has been quiet on this matter. He used his ministers to test the ground. He should uphold his 1Malaysia principle to nake a final decision. Currently JAKIM seems to be more powerful than PM, a very scary thought.

Speaking of sensitivity, maybe someone should define the erogenous zone.

Churches are not the only thing to have been going up in flames in Malaysia. Take a look at the nation’s foreign exchange reserves. They fell by close to 25 percent during 2009 according to investment bank UBS even though the country continued to run a huge surplus on the current account of its balance of payments.

In short there has been an exodus of money from Malaysia on a scale which surpasses that which occurred during the Asian crisis. Nor is this just a mirage. The decline is also reflected in a sudden decline in base money supply – even while, thanks to Bank Negara, broader M2 has continued to grow modestly.

Different treatment within the same 1 Malaysia??

Aiyo, applying BN style of thinking and answering the public, the world must understand and respect the (lack of) intelligence and (il)logical thinking of Malaysian leaders for being so "niamah".

This is also my personal comment..he is dickhead extraordinaire. And this is my personal thoughts..Wattafark is Najib doing with this clown in his cabinet?. Another that comes to mind is Rice Orphan. Expired shelf life and still sitting in the Cabinet. But then even if you replace another one with UMNO..I think it will be the same. Poo-hard Zakarshi(English is weird"..if I get his name right, Rubber Bung for plugging the monthly leaks, all same sh!t, different hole.

Nazri just SHOT DOWN Najis' 1 MALAYSIA with a Bazooka! What he has said clearly indicates 2 MALAYSIAS!

I always thought only the judiciary in Malaysia was differentiated by having the High Court of Malaya and High Court of Borneo, but the way Nazri is putting it, it sounds like we will soon be having the Parliament of Malaya and the Parliament of Borneo!

Our PM is on holiday while he let loose all the clowns to challenge his 1malaysia concept.

maybe we will get to see if the concept can withstand all the test arguments.

in the meantime, the us intelligence alerted potential terrorist attack in Sabah. Don't worry we got 2 submarines to defend us.

If nazri's 'compromise' solutions is not accepted by either party, then I guess we will witness a showdown.

Umm NAZRI, let's see. Isn't he the dickhead who judged that the decision by the High Court is wronged and came out shouting that Alxxh is sole proprietary of Muslims? And now he is flip flopping to show his compassionate side?

Bollocks.....once a dickhead, always a dickhead.

I though all Muslims are brothers!? If Sabah and Sarawak Muslims can accept, I wonder why Peninsula Muslims cannot accept? What's the different?

One of the top umno warlords (can’t remember who) had recently said that Sabah & Sarawak are BN’s “fixed deposit” in every general election. In the heat of the moment, the special umno committee set up to stir up the Allah issue with organized protests and arson attacks must have overlooked or under-rated the feelings of Christians in Sabah & Sarawak. Now that they realized while intimidating Christians in the peninsula they have unwittingly antagonized East Malaysian Christians, they have to do something to please their “fixed deposit”. I guess Nasri's purpose is to set the tone for umno to try and do damage control.

Today’s Star online reported what another clown by the name Muhyiddin who is in London said:

“The Deputy Prime Minister said he had been receiving quite a number of messages from his Christian friends from Sabah and Sarawak over the issue.

“They say the things that had happened would not have happened in the first instance if they, the Christians, had just said, we are not going to use the word Allah,” he said.

I think what he said is a load of bullshit. It must have been the opposite. I think umno have received a lot of negative feedback on the ground in the “fixed deposit” states. That’s why they have to do damage control now, or else come the next general election there is no more “fixed deposit” for them.

Dear brothers and sisters in Sabah & Sarawak, please don’t be taken in by umno hypocrites. By now, its very clear that they want to divide and rule for their political survival, for this is the only way they know. Unity among the races and religious groups is NOT what they want. Why ?. Because in the peninsula they need the Malays’ support, and they think that the only way to gain Malays’ support is to polarize them from the other races and promote “ketuanan melayu”. That’s why they banned Christians from using “Allah”, stirred up the issue and burned the churches. Prior to that, as if to pour fuel on fire, Mahathir had written in his blog that the court’s ruling that Christians can use the word “Allah” will make the Malays angry. Since the mighty Ex-PM said so, some Malays with the herd mentality thought they ought to be angry. (Footnote: In a rare occurance, even Marina Mahathir’s views differ from his father’s. For that she earns my respect). This is one of the issues that umnoputras thinks they can manipulate, to be seen as guardians of "ketuanan melayu".

They need your support during elections, but other times they take you for granted and push you around. As could be seen in the March 2008 general election, large number of Malays (over 40%) voted for Pakatan Rakyat, simply because they realized umno’s evil ways. The number of Malays who choose to vote for unity, fairness, justice and good governance is increasing. Dear brothers and sisters in Sabah & Sarawak, you too can help make Malaysia a better country for our future generations. Please vote with the aim to change the state and federal governments. When that happens, our future can only become brighter.

If the govt doesn't want to politicise the issue, shouldn't politicians refrain from making comments whether personal views or not on the case until the appeal decision is made?

Compromise Time: Malaysian Gov. rebuild all damaged churches 110% (10% additional space), Christians stop using the word Allah.

I thought that Muslims are forbidden by law from entering the church during service. Their mere presence is already in violation of their fatwas. Shouldn't Mr N be hauled up for due process? BTW endangering the status of the church by his incognito presence is after all ok by his account cause Mr N is the de-facto minister of law, right? 1 rule for him and the likes and many rules for the rest?!?!?!?
