Patrick,Congrats. However you should have named the restaurant 1Damansara 1Village @ 1Imbi in the true 1Malaysia spirit. LOL.
Congratulations, Patrick! Hope that your venture will do well. Will drop by to taste the goodies.
congrats! won't be able to do a review with suan, will be heading to sipadan till this saturday. have a great one fellow KY! :D
Wow, who's that handsome guy with bright glistening white teeth in the flyer?Having said that, can I have get further discount on the food? * wink wink *Congrats on the opening Patrick!
This Patrick really knows how to advertise his restaurant. Donno expensive or not (I didn't pay the only time I went there) but the food's definitely yummy.
Read the Off The Edge section (Feb issue) where you tokkok with champagne with Daphne Iking. Be careful in case someone may sue you for trying to seduce this lady. Anyway I find the tokkok setting not appropriate as you look like a 'cheeko pek'. Also the tokkok did not go deep enough, very frivolous or is it a minor abberation on your part in front of a beautiful lady?
OVERHEARD:Wah, Anwar supporters so many! UMNO none meh?No need.....UMNO supporters on the bench enough what?
Your restaurant name gives the impression that it is serving malay/halal food.Maybe you can call it Niamah Restaurant.
I am sorry if I misled you din selamat. But how do the names Damansara Village Steamboat or Damansara Village @ Imbi give the impression that we serve Malay/Halal food?
You should have invited Ronnie Liu to makan there. He will spend easily RM10,000 for the people of his constituency to dine at your restaurant. He is the true Juara Rakyat.
No pork, but Halal or not, up to them lah, issit?Anyway, Congrats! will certainly try one of these days.
I think din selamat find the food special but cannot consume. Thus the frustration.By the way, I hope you serve liquor.
Actually the word 'Steamboat' should tell you that it is not malay/halal restaurant. If Patrick calls it 'PerahuWap', then it is a separate matter.Anyway, this is a good way to preserve the heritage since most of the restaurant are now halal.I do not mean it in the negative way.
Cannot assume that "steamboat" is not halal. Is Yong Tau Fu "halal" ? These days it is a common item especially at pasar malam. But "bah kut teh" still controversial.......ha ha
Pat, ur boat got sodomy, oops 'sotong-mee' or not ?
A true steamboat is not halal because the soup is derived from you-know-what to achieve the taste.I do not take halal yong tau foo for the same reason. No offence to anyone. I prefer authenticity.Same reason if you do not use beef for rendang.
You what "ori" yon tau foo, don't-lah buy it from the pasar malam. I am sure you can still get the ori-one
Do you serve SOTO MEE? That one surely halal as Umno is serving it again.
Be careful if you eat Soto-Mee, you may not be able to pass motion for 2 days.
