This is actually quite funny!

The Malaysian submarine that cannot dive. It's okay la. Won't affect its operation one.

The Malaysian Insider today reported ......

A technical fault in the nation’s first submarine, the KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, that prevents it from diving is a minor hitch that will not interfere with its operations and can be rectified by its builders.
Are you laughing already? No? Read it again. A submarine that cannot dive. But it will not interfere with its operations.

HUH???!!! So what is its operations? As a sailboat ferrying tourists to watch fireflies?

But then this is Malaysia ma. So don't worry because............

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said: “We have a warranty on the sub and we are confident the builders can fix it.”

We are confident that the builders can fix it!!!

Well, all I can say after reading that is ...........

WHAT THE FUCK???!!!

Come on! Everybody join in. Say it out loud...........

NIAMAH!!!

let me guess, the submarine was bought while it was functioning properly. No company will sell a submarine that does not dive. So that leave with this conclusion. Some incompetent officer onboard the submarine pressed the wrong button and screwed up the submarine.

he forgot to read the user manual.

Never mind the sub that only float...at least everyone knows that we got a sub, if the submarine dive nobody know mah...but what got me nerve wracking is that they called all the submarines name after the ex-PM! Imagine there were an incident, is this how they will describe.... "KD Tunku Abdul Raman was hit by a torbedo on the back, turn around and fire back at the enemy, while KD Tunku Rasak got stuck between some rock"....You only use their name for certain places of importance like a lecture hall, library, park, road...but not a war killing machine...from what I see, it is a disgrace to a former leaders ...what to do when you have a military who can lost 2 fighter engines....I bet the one called KD Dr Mahathir must be used for broadcasting!

PeaAiM: so what kosong kepala you got?

Min: Hehe my brother ah, he got la this company that builds submarines, but he never got to build one. bagi peluang la PM. janji benefits semua.

PAim: hehe betul tu. Ok la settle, go ask your bro to stop by. we sign the contract. nice...... eh you make sure your bro can keep secrets okay?

Min: no problem la. if kena siasat pun, boleh cover juga. tak yah nak risau pm.

PeaM: Good. One malaysia, one race, one country, one religion and one operational no-nid-dive submarine.

-------------------------

i don't know what to say la pat. either the company that makes these subs got no standard at all, or the government likes to encourage the production of defected items.

Any country can invade Malaysia with just swords and spears. Afterall, the people are not united while our freaking defense system is either too old, won't fly, or won't dive.

However, you can bet we will never be conquered. All we need to do is to shout racial slogan at them and call them pendatang. Even the mighty USA would hightail back to where they came from due debasement of self-esteem after being labeled as such.

Cannot dive? can sink ah? Damn teruk. Imagine this....it can be worse. After going a few thousand metres underwater...it cannot surface. Even after being repaired, the submarine personnel should think whether they should join the army instead. At least they are on land.

I thought the purpose of getting a sub is because it can dive!
Would you want to buy a parachute that doesn't open?
1Malaysia seems to screw up in everything that it does.
This used to be such a wonderful country where everybody lived together in such great harmony until politicians were "invented". Now it is in a terrible mess.
GIVE ME BACK MY COUNTRY!

I know why the sub cannot dive. 2 engines that pump the air out to make the sub sink has been stolen. QED.

As suggested by Patrick,I think it's more useful and income generating if the submarine is being used to ferry tourist for eco-tourism

On the same note I guess fighter planes without its engine will not interfere with its operations either. So that is why you sell off the engines. Only confirms the fact that morons are running Malaysia Bolehland. Niammmmmmmmmmmah!!

It cannot dive on tropical water as it was built in France. TLDM missed out the specifications. Wonder how much these suckers will have to pay once the warranty is over?

It is like having a plane that can take off but cannot land.

It goes to show how s@#$&^ our defence is. Maybe TLDM is trying to upstage TUDM that lost the jet engines.

Truly Niamah as it put national security (if any) at stake.

Only in bolehland where the powers that be don't have the cow sense to understand the significance if not irony of it all but go on to compound their idiocy by blaring to the world: hey, it's just a minor problem and the builders surely can fix, la. It's like Boeing building planes that cannot fly. C'mon Zahid, at least have a sense of humour and laugh at the problem rather that show the world your stupidity. And you call yourself Dr.!

This is a good example of Malaysia Tak Boleh.

It is a norm, like having a football striker that cannot score goals. this is world's first - a submaroine that cannot dive. I wonder how it makes it way to malaysia from France (towed by tugboats?).

The submarine may end up as scrap metal just like the Rapid KL buses in the junk yard (after all teh valuable parts have been stripped and 'exported' overseas for personal gain).

Malaysia is a land of plenty. plenty of resources and money. also plenty of scandals, robbers and thieves. plenty of bull politicians and others. Here is the list- 20 years of financial scandals has make this nation gone bankrupt. From 1983 starting with the infamous Bank Bumiputra Finance scandal t0 2003 with the PKFZ scandal.with billions lost no one is accountable- this is 1 Malaysia. now the sun paper described the 1000 buses bought at RM 90 million as the biggest graveyard in town. the buses are now turned to scrap . Fantastic idea of some genius who did this deal . correct, correct , correct

Each time some costly equipment, building or something fuck up, you will want to wait for an even more fuck up answer from the authorities. Cost a billion plus and suppose to be new. Probably some engine of equipment already missing, try checking in Uruguay. And hey there a co. being awarded a maintance contract which runs into hundreds of millions. I'm not guessing who owns the co.
I really do belive we print our own money until we eventually run out of ink (recent cases). Allah help Malaysia please.

If I'm not mistaken the complete deal was for 2 subs at RM3.4 billion. The 2nd Scorpene Sub is due to be delivered in May this year, way past its original delivery date!!

The big question is why was Havoxbridge don RB and his company Perimekar S/B paid RM540 million in full for so-called "support and facilitation" Fees (NOT A COMMISSION as claimed by Mindef and PM Najib and confirmed by Azmi Khalid after PAC inquiry), even though delivery has not been completed??!!

What a deal!! Where is RB now the subs can't dive?

But then in M'sia we not only have subs that don't dive, we have jet planes that don't fly but their engines can make it mysteriously all by themselves to Uruguay with the connivance of two lowly Indians!!

The two cops were found guilty of murdering Altantuya. The question of who ordered them to do so remains unaddressed. This will continue to fuel no end of speculation since a close aide of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was said to be involved.

From the close aide, Abdul Razak Baginda, it's just a hop, skip and a jump to Najib himself, who has denied any involvement. Blanket denials won't do. Former prime ministerDr Mahathir Mohamad, Najib's biggest fan, in a candid moment, once said that Najib should clear his name. After that he (Mahathir), too, clammed up.

Maybe Najib thinks that there is no way that he will be found linked to Altantuya. The private investigator P Balasubramaniam has made several revelations which have all been ignored. Next, there will be a book out on the Altantuya killing if there hasn't already been one done already.

A movie is said to be in the works. Such public documentation along with the numerous reports in the print media and in cyberspace including blogs and social networking sites like Facebook will further tarnish the reputation of Najib and, by extension, Umno.

After the political tsunami of March 8, 2008, Gerakan and MCA leaders said that they have learnt the lesson of their electoral debacle in the 12th general election and would no more be “dumb and deaf” and would speak up courageously for what is right and just.

But clearly, Tsu Koon has not changed, or as the Minister entrusted with the 1Malaysia GTP campaign, he should be the first to speak out publicly against the irresponsible and vicious campaign by Umno’s Utusan Malaysia and other Umno media to falsely accuse the Penang Pakatan Rakyat government and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as anti-Malay and anti-Islam.

Tsu Koon was in Penang during the Chinese New Year and he did make criticisms, but against Guan Eng and not against Utusan Malaysia and other Umno agents in their irresponsible and vicious campaign to play the race and religious card against the Penang Pakatan Rakyat state government and Guan Eng – violating all precepts of Najib’s 1Malaysia slogan and concept.

The amazing fact is how can a "new" submarine costing millions of ringgit fails to submerge with less than a year of operation. I hope it is not a second hand sub painted with new paint. Sorry for being so naive.

Anyhow since it is submersible now, lets put it to the test, but how deep can it go, is it as deep as on the spec sheet? lets just assume it can go that far. let us put these people on during the resubmerge of the sub:
1. Najib since he was the one in the Ministry of Defense and involved in the purchase
2. Rosmah (she needs to accompany her beloved husband, wife must be loyal to husband)
3. Muhyiddin (since he will be in command if Najib suffer a heart attack in the sub)
4. Zahid Hamidi (since he is now the Defense Minister
5. Hishamuddin Hussein (since he likes to tail his cousin Najib)
6. TDM (since he is the smartest among them all, if something goes wrong during the submerge he will be smartest to find the solution, he was also a medical practitioner )

Go as deep as it can go, if these people do not survive then fully investigation must be carried out since Datuk Zahid said it has been fixed and ready to be used. Thorough investigation is needed since it cost the life of very very important people. Impartiality is a must.

On the other hand, if these people survive then I think the sub can then be used to cruise around in our waters. And the VVIPs should be praised for their courage to prove that what other blogs wrote about the submerine-gate is baseless.

And the testing procedure should be documented in the Standard Operating Procedure S.O.P. These same VVIPs should be called again for their courage and patriotism defending the "new" submerine.
