Sorry Harith. I have to bypass you.

My new year resolution is to support only local Chinese or Indian artists who are talented but never get the government support.

Dear Patrick

Went to get the tickets today at pjla. Spoke to the girl there who manned the ticket counter. Had a suggestion to perhaps moderate the prices for the kids. Was told blatantly, " all same price ! " Please consider suggesting to the management. Miss, " I will tell my boss "

KLpac offers lower rates for kids. Miss " where got? I use to work there ! ". I asked, " How sure are you? " Miss, " Sure ".
Then I think you better check why they classify it as " students rate "

To rub salt....she says, " senior citizen got lower price here

I ask, " what's the diff? If can give to senior, surely can consider giving to the kids. That way, we can also promote arts to the kids and let them appreciate this type of satirical entertainment as well.'
"

Miss, I will tell me boss.

Ensuing..... Miss," I have to charge you another 2% for the card. "

Me, " Huh? why? Its not a merchandise, I know merchandise shop all do that, but you all are entertainment. "

Either appeal to the merchant bank or you all absorb lah.

Miss.....( silent )

Aiyah, brother Patrick. How can like this. Are we all going so insensitive and not accomodative to the patrons of art/entertainment.

I leave it to you to put some words of wisdom in the right ears

I tend to agree that we should support those artists that are not given opportunity to perform at Istana Budaya.

Please do not imitate MJ or you may like him 'gone too soon'.

Anonymous 2 - What makes you think ANY comedian of ANY race gets government support????? And shouldn't we be supporting ALL Malaysian artistes regardless of race (which I thought we were trying to stop using) just BECAUSE they ARE Malaysian?
Or were you just 'joking'?

sorry, i prefer 'sodomy trial', it's live , free & more comical of title " can i fuck u today ? " ... maaf !

There you go Yasmin. Only the Malays are racists. Only 6 miserable comments when there's no Malay bashing involved.. LOL.

Yasmin

You did not think enough.

Comedians who are malays can buy Amanah Saham Bumiputera with at least yearly return of 8%.

With that kind of return anyone can syiok sendiri and indulge in his own jokes (like those raja lawak wannabes) even if bank negara were to cut the interest rate further.

Don't you think this is a form of government support?

I hope our local comedians can be more original instead of copying here and there and recycle old jokes.

Please take this as a constructive feedback.

Although I cannot appreciate local comedy, I really 'sanjung' the effort by Harith Iskandar to do his bit for charity.

I hope other so-called artists could do likewise instead of embroiling themselves to be 'terjah'ed in Melodi for cheap publicity.

racist @1.41pm,

you must feel like gandalf with that piece of deep thought. how do you then explain the existence of vernacular schools, non-malay billionaires, and patrick teoh being able to unashamedly, spew filth in this blog, if not for the govt's tolerance and support?

seriously, dumb fucks like you never cease to amaze me. you give non-malays a bad name.
