Fantastic Funny

The Proton Exora

For years now we have all joked about what crappy cars they make. Now, PROTON have also proven that they have a crappy sense of humour. In Page 13 of the street version of The Sun (which I would have scanned for you if my crappy Epson CX3500 hadn't died on me) there is a full-paged advertisment for Proton's EXORA. The headline reads.........

"The kids were about to terrorize me. But thankfully this time I was prepared. I came armed with an Exora."

A wonderfully creative headline don't you think given the current times? Good laugh? Have a great weekend folks!

NIAMAH!!!

Just like the kid who tried to use his sis' car as a weapon to ram the coppers?

Hi Pat,

Actually the advert is put up by the 1PDRM under the directive of the 1PIG. The purpose is to show to the Malaysian public that the car is an ARMED weapon which justified the trigger happy 1PDRM shooting and killing of the 15 year old Shah Alam schoolboy.

After all the 1PDRM has been continuously alleging the deceased schoolboy was reversing the car (aka the ARMED weapon) into them so they acted in self defense by discharging 15 to 20 bullets to stop the ARMED weapon.

Anyway the Exora is indeed an ARMED weapon considering it is made by Proton and we all know that Protons are death vehicles on and off the roads. Just look at the quality of the Proton cars and you are looking at a rusted Milo tin foil.

Terror-nye!!!

ahahaha i doubt that the proton board of directors would acknowledge how "terror" .. their exora is .. they still think that the exora and their other range of "terror-terror" standard cars, their "terror-terror" effects on the local car industry are god gifts to the m'sian rakyat .. i would credit the copy/creative writer of that ad agency tho ... well i reckon at least he tries to write the truth ... even perhaps even realising it .. ahahahaha!!!!!

Malaysia car -- NIAMAH quality with NIAMAH price !!!

With the frightening number of people including kids getting killed by road vehicles, i would agree that the advert, though in bad taste is quite appropiate. Being a 7 sitter, the exora qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction too. Maybe proton is sending a hidden msg, hehehe.

nver buy a Proton again since my experience told me that every aspects of my Proton failed me:
1) Power window
2) Car Stereo
3) Speakers
4) Fuel meter
5) reverse sensor ...

Now I finally found a right word to describe my experience. Proton really TERRORIZE me with poor quality!

I browsed through a book the other day in 1-Utama MPH about badly designed cars and Proton Wira is in it.

Ralfie said...

I knew it that they are going to keep on insisting that a car is a weapon just to justify their trigger happy ego.

artchan said...

the only thing terro about this car is fuel consumption figures sucks..and really a terror going up hill. Good for seven seat..fill up with seven adults...and see the car crawl.

No Proton for me said...

This is a serious message:

Do not ever buy a Proton car.

The quality is very poor and you will regret!

This has got nothing to do with national pride.

Woi! nvm la!, we can have sex in PROTON !!! WHAT!!!

I think the headline cuts both ways cause the EXORA is so bad, it is actually doing the terrorising. Can imagine the petrified look on the faces of those poor kids once they are strapped into the seats!

I have been boycotting Proton for more than 7 years. The reason being that Proton salesmen used dirty tactics to do business.

My fury rose to the apex when I was told to wait EIGHT months for a Proton Waja when it was first launched and a salesman from the Taman Connaught branch in Kuala Lumpur demanded coffee money of RM2,500 for a "fast car"! Proton has been giving these salesmen opportunities to make extra money by controlling supply.

You need just drive past Glenmarie in Shah Alam to see hundreds of Proton vehicles subject to natural elements while customers who booked vehicles were made to wait for their vehicles. These salesmen were surely very well-versed with the demand and supply factor in determining their survival and extra income.

All these talk about the kid and the police and the car as a weapon. Let me put this into perspective for you. You don't agree that the car can be a weapon?. OKay, you are entitled to you opinion. Now let's put it like this. I am behind the wheel of a car deliberately heading towards you with the intention to cause harm and you had a gun. Would you still say that car IS NOT a weapon to cause harm or kill or maim?. And by the way the gun is to shoot yourself in the head BEFORE I ram into you. NUMBNUTS!

There's this clown who calls himself Justice4OTK who is going around writing a lot of crap of anyone who opposes BN or that idiot Ong Tee Keat. Well after OTK got screwed by his own beloved MCA, this idiot Justice4OTK had now changed focus and started taking cheap shots at Pakatan Rakyat. He claims that MCA must not leave BN because if MCA leaves, it's place will be taken up by PAS and BN will become extremist. This fucker is just like the rest of the MCA fuckers. Always giving excuses to the fact that MCA is and always will be Umno's lapdog.

What this this bastard does is to take news reports or blog postings of other people and then add his two cents worth of crap to get his myopic point across. When asked why he did not blast his fellow MCA buddy Omar Goh Wei Liang who hero worships the Mamak Tandas Mahataik, he says he does not like to comment on other people's opinion.

When I gave my number and recorded my comment in his Blog for him to meet me face to face, this Pondan and Motherfucker Bo Lampa Tenglan not only did not publish my comment but also had no balls to call me up.

This Pondan Bo Lampa Justice4OTK dare not reveal his identity in his Blog but can call other people crude names.

I'm waiting for you Justice4OTK. If you are man enough call me and we can meet face to face. If you can't muster enough guts you can also call that faggot Omar Goh to come along.

See this before it is censored.Scorpion Submarine Scandal-Revealed.....at last
If this is true and you are a Malaysian, you should know what you should do when the next general election comes. And you would be committing a sin if you are not forwarding this info to your Malaysian friends to do justice.
find out whether this is the truth or not first.
this is a very serious allegation.

I saw a Proton Wira in Doha Qatar in december which prompted the question: "Why?" There was no pride in me, just commiseration.

Read your Teohlogy article on the May issue of Off The Edge magazine.

You should reproduce it here since not many can obtaian a copy of the magazine.

You're right. The government has been talking big (more like 'tokok') with no details of how their grandiose plan could be feasibly implemented. Blame our ignorant rakyat who are easily convinced (or fooled) because of our education system?

I rented a Proton Waja over the weekend. What annoyed me was that signal stick is on the left side and not on the right side as with most right hand drive cars. Keep wondering what the fxxx those proton did during the r & d knowing very well that the car is for Malaysian use. Or did they simply borrowed some european design

Dear Justice4OTK

OTK has been silenced by umno.
He dare not exposed the PKFZ fiasco.
Now he was rewarded to retain his ministerial job with all charges against him dropped.
More like a BoLanOTK!

Why give free publicity to Proton?

Why you are silent on Sibu?

I saw you on 'En Bloc' (repeat telecast) on Singpaore Channel 5 every afternoon. You looked like a tired old man.

Actually, Proton could be considered as WMD ( Weapon of Mass destruction ), maybe our army could use Proton to go for war later? who knows? pull that thing, and hampak itu kepala enemy!

I have an Exora. I do not have a choice as it is the cheapest MPV around. The authorised worshop I went to are not honest and ethical in their dealings. Everytime that I sent my Exora into the workshop they will add unsolicited item into my bill, like windscreen wiper washer liquid etc. The last service interval I sent my Exora in, I suspect that they did not replace the Engine Oil that they are suppose to yet I was charged about RM100 for it. I am a DIY guy. I come to the conclusion because when I remove the dipstick and wipe it with a white tissue, the oil stain on the tissue is very dirty. I usually change my own Enging Oil of my other cars and I know how new oil looks like. I suspect that it is the works of some dishonest workshop workers.

May 13 rally will be approved, and sanctioned, by Umno/BN/Perkasa and the police. The usual excuses (which only seem to work when used by their pals) are that the people need to speak and show their support or have some avenue of expressing their concern over the opposition's

Never mind that the date is chosen deliberately to be provocative or that the events that will surely go on that night will be highly incendiary, racist and bigoted in nature.

If any non-Umno/BN/Perkasa group were to hold something similar or on that date, you can bet that threats of ISA will be invoked and the cops will all be on standby with their roadblocks and water cannons.

And this Mahathir - even in his retirement years, he is not contented with all the foundations he has set up to create the racist society that is Malaysia today. He still wants to meddle and whip up racist sentiments. He, along with all the other Umno/BN/Perkasa folk, will certainly be reviled by future, enlightened generations of Malaysians.

As people say "GiGO" - garbage-in-garbage-out. Until a company can be realistic enough to hire and keep good, productive and intelligent senior staff, don't expect their adverts or their products to be good le!

Anonymous said...

I guess Proton is targeting the adverts at the reckless drivers, road bullies of Malaysia to buy the Exora.

Hey Pat, I am surprised that no one commented about the Exora advert in the Star dated the 12th of May 2010 (pageN25) cause it freaking hilarious. To refresh, it's about Mr. Pushparajan being grateful for the safety features like the Abs + EBS, self activated hazard lights etc, etc so exulted in that MPV because he had to brake suddenly when another car overtook him without warning. Nothing wrong but the big joke is the line that followed after that went like this "Breaking (not braking) at such speed can send your vehicle spinning". Hey! You now have to worry about spinning AFTER the fact that merely driving at highway speed resulted in you breaking apart the damn MPV because it will, guaranteed!!!!! Syabas Proton, you just confirmed our suspicions. How more NUMBNUTS can you get after that! AND I am still laughing while farting at the same time! Oops, hope I don't break anything!. LOL!

The creation of Proton is the root cause to our poor public transportation system because of the stupid NAP to continue to ensure Proton's survival.

Mat AP said...

With this Approved Permits (APs) mentality, Malaysia will be seen as a pariah nation, and only showcasing the few bumiputera traders' inability to compete with the rest of Malaysian car traders.

APs benefit only the few connected ones. Not all bumi traders are AP holders, and yet they are still in business. Pekema (Association of Malay Importers and Traders of Motor Vehicles Malaysia) can just close shop and Malaysia will still make money from taxes from car imports as we are a nation that loves car.

The objectives need to be more clearly defined. Is the AP policy nurturing bumi entrepreneurs or does it represent affirmative action involving income redistribution? It may not be best to cobble the two goals together.

Are the recipients the same old faces? What is the assessment on progress made in their businesses arising out of these permits?

Ultimately, policies of this type with macro-objectives may be better managed by organisations such as PNB (Permodalan Nasional Bhd), issuing dividends to the community at large, or perhaps through cooperatives.

Such bodies would serve income distribution goals more closely. It is high time to take a serious look at income distribution within the Malay community and consider whether the ways and means by which affirmative action has been implemented needs to be changed so that it is not used for the enrichment of the few.
