And the award goes to.........

The You-Got-To-Be-Shitting-Me award trophy

The how to keep a straight face award goes to Najib Razak for saying,

"We are not using the prosecution as a gimmick. How is it a sandiwara if he (Khir Toyo) has been charged?"

The PM was commenting on the charging of the ex-Menteri Besar of Selangor for land fraud. Full story here.

The Errr...I'm sorry I don't really know what I am talking about but I will say it anyway award goes to Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin for saying,

"The important thing is the rakyat benefits from the funds. If we channel it to the Menteri Besar (of Opposition-led Selangor), I wonder how he would spend it?"

The DPM was shooting down a request in Parliament that the Federal Government extend development funds to Opposition MP's as well as BN MP's. Full story here.

The award for ex-Prime Minister most out of touch with reality goes to Mahathir Mohd. for saying,

"We were very far behind in terms of engineering when we started producing Proton cars. But we have succeeded and we are still here after some very big names have gone bankrupt."

Dr. M was urging Proton vendors to supply components for the manufacture of hybrid and electric cars. Here.

Oh by the way, do Proton car power windows still fail after 1 month? No? But I still see most Proton drivers open their car doors to pay tolls instead of using the window. Why ah? Save battery issit?

And finally, the award for best screeching, smoking U-turn goes to Nazri Aziz for saying,

"I think Malaysians should always sangka baik (assume what is good first). We are multi-racial, so we cannot have the opposite."

Nazri was speaking in defense of rapper Namewee whom he said was just "grossly misunderstood". Story here.

Nazri also added (when he should have quit while ahead) "I think he has potential. If we can help him, he will be able to become an artiste one day."

I wonder what Namewee thought of that last statement.

UPDATE 11 December, 2010

It had to happen and it did!!! Perkasa has accused the government of 'letting down the race' by giving rapper, Namewee "VIP" treatment in Parliament. Full Star story HERE

Have a good weekend.Publish Post

1)On DPM's comment on Federal fund to the Selangor state-don't want to give say don't want to give lah!
Don't give flimsy excuses!
2)On Mamakthir & Proton-you call that engineering success? especially Proton just do cosmetic modification of new car model(like the Inspira model which is exactly the same model as the imported Mitsubishi Lancer.Actually, the rakyat are forced to pay higher price for Proton because of this import duty protection, besides the poor quality(like the power window).
Niamah the mamak fler!

My Proton fails me in power window, reverse sensor, fuel gauge, speakers, car lock (cannot be opened). It also has no rust protection - got rusty in one year!

Never buy Proton.
BN governmetn csannot provide good public transportation. It only manufactures inferior proton cars to make you buy at unreasonable prices while causing traffic congestion and air pollution.

As for the arrest of Toyol, we all know that it is a BN sandiwara or wayang kulit to buy your votes. Don't be fooled!

Instead of focusing on qualityu improvement and cost reduction, Proton chose to focus on F1 to syiok sendiri.

Enough said!

The trouble Malaysia faces now is no less the creation of MCA and MIC who refused to realize that they have been used by UMNO to create the impression that BN represented all Malaysians. Mamakthir said as much that if Chinese and other Malaysians did not agree with government policies why didn’t MCA and MIC object. Obviously the MCA and MIC leaders care about their personal advancements rather than those of Malaysians, and much less the communities said to be represented by them. The way to send BN packing to to have MCA and MIC folded up. Whoever wins the next General Election, MCA and MIC candidates should be voted out. UMNO can pack MCA and MIC senators to be ministers, even if UMNO is not defeated but the world would know that they are running dogs.

The views on corruption of most Malaysians would be different if the following could be addressed:

1)The MSM (mainstream media) are bowing to the powerful Umno warlords and are not brave enough to use their journalistic professionalism.

2) Malaysians, especially those in the rural areas, do not have the opportunity to read the alternative media, which publish cases of corruption prevalent in the country.

3) The ineffectiveness and inefficiency of the MACC and the AG's Chambers.

mY MAIL TO PROTON -UNANSWERED,OF COURSE:
Dear Sir,
I own a Perdana V6 Year 2003. This was my company car that I alone drove and then bought it over on retirement in 2007. The car has now done about 280,000km. It has been a terrible experience for me. FYI, I made a corporate decision then to buy 6 cars for my managers in 2003. The decision was to buy Sonata or Perdana. Being very nationalistic, I decided on the Perdana. On reflection I think this was my worst decision. My own car had many PDI problems, that I had to return to Glenmarie again and again. Then came the gearbox. Then came my suspensions. Now it’s my steering assembly. My car has only been serviced by one mechanic. He knows the complete history and my service records are complete. I write to you in utter disappointment. Your quality is highly questionable. Your parts are relatively expensive. You are riding on political protection to drive your business and I am sure with what you produce YOU WILL FAIL MISERABLY ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. I am not biased or politically inclined, but simply a frustrated customer who will NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER PROTON. This also includes your transformer type so called Inspira. Good Luck to you and your team. I actually feel that I have been taken for a ride for being a nationalist. You have earned my displeasure.
P.S. I am surprised that your e mail address says I care. I don’t think you all care. I am also expecting a simple electronic e mail acknowledgement, just like the govt service, because you behave like one.

It is our money. Not the government's. Strangely we cannot touch our own money. We want development. We want our money to be used for development. How come you stop us from using our money for development ? How come we cannot use the things which are bought with our money ? There is no such a thing as the government's money. If government money does not come from us, where do you think it comes from ? Therefore if we say that building the tallest tower in the world is a waste of money, then it is a waste of money. Please use our money for things that are more important and meaningful. Do not vandalise because your part of the money whether it is 0.00001 cent is still your money. It is your property as well.

Wikileak reveals that the “situation in Malaysia is confused and dangerous”, fuelled by “a distinct possibility of racial conflict” that could see ethnic Chinese “flee” Malaysia and “overwhelm” Singapore.

“A lack of competent leadership is a real problem for Malaysia,” said Kausikan, citing the need for Datuk Seri Najib Razak to prevail politically in order to avoid prosecution in connection with the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.

This is reported by Sydney Morning [Herald Philip Dorling and Nick McKenzie] December 12, 2010 under caption “Big fat red faces for Singapore leaders” based on cables, leaked exclusively to The Sun-Herald by WikiLeaks on what some of Singapore’s highest ranking officials [Singapore's Foreign Affairs chiefs Peter Ho, Bilahari Kausikan and Prof Tommy Koh] said to US officials.

“MALAYSIA’S “dangerous” decline is fuelled by incompetent politicians, Thailand is dogged by corruption and a “very erratic” crown prince, Japan is a “big fat loser” and India is ”stupid”.

“The, detail separate meetings between senior US officials and The trio, who at the time of the 2008 and 2009 cables occupied some of the most senior positions in the foreign ministry, all give US officials damning assessments of Malaysia. According to one cable detailing a meeting in September 2008, Mr Kausikan told US Deputy Secretary of Defence for East Asia David Sedney there was a “distinct possibility of racial conflict” which could see ethnic Chinese “flee” Malaysia and “overwhelm” Singapore…Mr Ho’s assessment of Malaysia in March that year, given to another US official, is also unflattering and includes claims that former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad had been “throwing stones” at his replacement, Abdullah Badawi…”

In his September meeting with Mr Sedney, Mr Kausikan savaged Thailand’s political elite, labelling Thaksin Shinawatra as “corrupt” along with “everyone else, including the opposition”. Mr Kausikan was also critical of Mr Thaksin’s relationship with the Thai crown prince, saying he “made a mistake in pursuing a relationship with the crown prince by paying off the crown prince’s gambling debts”. In a September 2009 meeting, Mr Koh savaged Japan and India, describing Japan as ”the big fat loser” in the context of improving ties between China and ASEAN, a cable says, adding: “He was equally merciless towards India, describing his ‘stupid Indian friends’ as ‘half in, half out’ of ASEAN.”

If true, luckily when referring to incompetent politicians, the S’pore officials didn’t specify anything about Malaysian Opposition parties or their leaders!

Talking about the MCA .The chinese are a funny breed either loyal or traitor.
You can see from past history -the Chinese could have the Yuan Dynasty ( Mongolian ) to be their government and the Ching ( Manchus) because they were some who had some benefits and would stay loyal to cultivate friendship and became rich.
Nothing wrong here -the MCA are one breed the DAP are the other type.

Either Loyal or traitor to their own race.

There is no point protesting against plain truths. Singapore is just telling the obvious - leaders in Malaysia are incompetent. Even our local rakyat know that. Had the country been run by capable leaders, we would not be left behind in so many fields.

Everyone here knows all about these racial rhetoric, lousy leaders, and that there has been a lot of 'fleeing' already from a long, long time ago. Just because it is WikiLeaks, there is a lot of hoo-ha over a simple common everyday matter.

The UMNOPUTRAS in fighting to uphold and maintain special Malay privileges (which in fact is never in The Constitution) are in fact clamouring to fight and maintain their rights to pilfer to enrich themselves. The right to plunder is camouflaged under the guise of ‘special Malay privileges’!

This can only happen in a country where all the civil institutions have been made subservient to the ruling elites in a more than half a century of unbroken rule.

No country can be managed well with transparency by any one party over half a century without descending into corruption and mismanagement by the governing party. UMNO is no different!

With one stroke in Parliament, the speaker has now reduced the 2/3 majority and bn can run wild with amendments soon. They will play politics the way it has always been done, i.e to cheat, con and lies to get peoples' votes.

Let us stand up for those marginalised poor in the estates. They are Malaysians of various races. They are desperate to put food on the table and not some paltry sum during politicain walkabout or walking for re-election crumbs.

We’ve seen it over and over again and what can we do?
We knew all the way that this country is totally controlled by Umno.
If you people who represented us in parliament are becoming “victim” of those BN bullies, then what are we?
We’re no god nor can we fight with arms.
We give you our votes and you cannot even fight for yourselves so how are our next generation gonna survive here?
By the look at the present scenario, I’ve got to plan something next, in case you people lose in the next GE.
I’m “pulling” my son out of TAR college and I’m asking him to join the Singapore force.
Once my son gets a PR, I’ll move my family out.
At least, I won’t be treated as a “pendatang” there.
So! to PR fellas, you better buck up and put your brain to full use.
Don’t complain or sulk ‘cos that won’t help you or us.
Do your part and fight for the cause ‘cos the next GE could be the end for UmnoBN or us.
Do or Die!!!

The fate of Singaporeans under the dragon system
December 21st, 2010 | Author: Contributions

Under the old tax system, people who have made income have to pay taxes to government. Our public servant salaries and maintenance of the civil servant is not so high, that makes the properties affordable. Therefore we have affordable properties over our head, reasonable medical and education for everybody and the cost of living is low that make Singapore a comfortable place to retire with your CPF saving.

After the PAP government pegged their salaries with the GDP growth, all of the above have been shattered. It has been replaced with high cost of living that keeps on escalating to an unaffordable level. The medical cost become very expensive so much so that people cannot affordable to get sick. Everything seems not right and more and more people become poorer every day and some even got suicidal. The High GDP growth is only beneficial to their $M dollars salary and performance bonus (from money making policy). Now the government wants the people to pledge their property to the CPF minimum sum. They will make the NEW CPF scheme compulsory by 2013 if they stay in power.

Their money making policies already make us lost our social values on right moral, integrity and right ethic as everybody only think for themselves. The New Compulsory CPF scheme will make us erode our family values with a new set of the family problems. Parents will blame their children not paying for their high health care bills as they are not able to pay for themselves with the miserable $400 monthly payout from the new CPS scheme. The children will blame their parents being a burden on top of their high pressure lifestyle/career. More young people will become violent because their parent has no time to understand/care for them as they have to work hard to support the family.

It is high time for all Singaporeans to give a serious thought on the fate and future they want and have to make a right decision for this coming election.

I believe like me and many others in Singapore are feeling extremely embarrassed and ashamed to be known as Singaporeans.
We feel that way because our own government has a big part selling away our dream, our life and our Singapore the place we call home.
Honestly I rather be known as a stateless person living in a third world country and live whatever life is left fro me.
I feel trapped here, can’t afford a HDB, no job, no money, renting a room but have more than a 100k in CPF.
What is the point of being in such as a situation where COV, and 5% valuation as cash can be upto 50k cash easily.Where on earth am I going to raise this money from? Even if I get a job, it would only be enough to pay bills.
We are screwed.

Dear Sinkngapur citizen

Withdraw all your CPF (worth RM237K) and come to Bolehland as you can qualify for the 'Malaysia 2nd Home' program.

Then you can 'cheap cheap' in everything.

I bought a new Proton Iswara for my daughter when she start college in KL. It worked fine but blew the front tire one year later when she was driving just below the speed limit, fortunately I gave her some driving tips on holding the steering firm in any case of tire blowing up. After two three years, I discover the gap between the drive door and the car frame has become larger than 1 and half inch compare to the front passenger door, this means the car frame has warped. You only get this in a serious auto accident. I quickly sold the car for a good second hand price and bought a Nissan which is still solid 9 years into it. Way to go for Malaysian make car on quality. We are patriot and like to buy make in Malaysia but a lot of disappointment lah. We flew to USA west coast often on business trip. I was flying on a MAS flight out of LA to KLIA via TaiPei with three of my ataffs. We were strap in on take off in the main cabin business class. I was at the back most row of the business class. The plane was taking off and climbing and I smell heavy smoke. I unstrapped myself and open the back curtain to see if there was a fire in the service cabin. Well, I saw a handsome Malay Steward, sitting on the stairs from the main cabin leading the upper cabin of the 747, he was holding a glass of Whisky or Cognac in one hand and smoking cigarette in the other hand which explain the smoky smell. He was smart to do that thinking everyone is strapped down. He was totally embarrassed and gave me all the great food afteward trying to bride me. I never intend to report him also since he also tried to make a living.if we want to blame, blame it on the education system in Malaysia that failed to instill a sense of responsibility and true patriotism into its citizen.
I forgot to check the toilets to see if any crew member were making love inside. This was in 1999. We never dare to fly MAS again after than experience, the end of our fly Malaysia first passion, another disappointment. We changed over to Cathay and SIA. We still love Malaysia, it is just a bit tough sometimes. Nowadays, there is not much make in Malaysia since Mahathir retired. This story is from personal experience, told as it had happened.
