What cock!

Together we'll tighten our grip on their gullibility.
(The money for both their suits would feed a rural family of 4 for a couple of months. At least!)

We all know politicians tend to talk cock. Most of the time. But there are times when the cock they talk can really get on your goat la.  Like today in The Star, the Deputy Prime Minister announced that there are going to be "increase in prices on various products due to increase in oil prices and reduction in food supply caused by changes in the global climate." I especially like that last part. "......caused by changes in the global climate."  Phwaaar!!! Sounds damn terror, right? Changes in global climate. Of course, if you read on you will realise that part of what he was trying to do was to cushion the announcement that the government was going to cut subsidies on diesel among other things. Cuts in subsidies are inevitable I suppose but it was the DPM's next statement that really pissed me off.

He said "Malaysians should control their expenses and learn to increase their own food supply."

Doesn't that make you mad? Control expenses? Like how? Eat ONE meal a day instead of THREE? Tighten the belts some more? If we tighten belts any more like the DPM and last time the PM advised us to do we'd die of asphyxiation. Increase our own food supply? How? Plant rice in terrace house 4ftx6ft "gardens"?

And in the meantime the government has just spent money erecting all those 1Malaysia monuments to stupid extravagance all over the country, bought submarines that don't submerge to patrol ...... (actually to patrol what ah?), failed to explain YB's whose lifestyles are comparable or exceed those of the rich and famous, or YB children who can afford to even consider RM400million divorce settlements......you can continue the list as you wish. And you know you can make a long list.

NIAMAH!!!

Fully 25% of the world's human population live on < RM7/day. It would be really nice to see the PM lead by example: have a demo herb/vegie garden on his balcony, or a rooftop garden on his apartment complex.
If Michelle Obama can show the world how good grow your own vegies are with her garden on the White House compound sure the PM's wife can replicate this with in Malaysia with local vegetables and fruit.
Rising fossil fuel prices will be with us until they are depleted. The PM should show us how to use alternatives to private vehicles by taking public transport to work everyday. At 57 i still cycle to work, i get the benefit of exercise and i can enjoy the scenery. KL needs cycle lanes, but that's an entirely different matter.

i translated to mandarin:

我们都知道,政客们往往谈公鸡。大部分的时间。但有时当公鸡说话才可以真正对你生气啦。就像今天的中星,副总理宣布将要“加大对各种产品的价格由于石油价格上升和全球气候变化导致粮食供应的减少。“我特别喜欢这最后一部分。 "......由于全球气候变化。“ Phwaaar!

Hi, Niamah, you are damn right. The suits of the two definitely can feed the rural family of 6 or more (not 4) for almost a year (Not a couple of months)!
"Malaysians should control their expenses and learn to increase their own food supply." Ha ha ha!How? Perhaps, start having kampung salted fish with rice and start planting banana on the roadside to make own Pisang goreng! Last but not least, all YB(s)' salary to be cut by 50% and withdraw all their allowances for entertaiment, petrol, car and others. See how these YB(s)react when they have to pay for their food, petrol and buy their own car!

These UMNO politicians are the typical "Do as I say but don't do what I do" types. They are the worst hypocrites around and I would not even touch them with a 100 foot pole. These creatures continue to milk the country and its people dry to satisfy their insatiable appetite for illicit wealth and power. I pray for the day when these creatures face judgment, whether from their own God or the people of this country. Their judgment day will come for sure.

Pat, you must understand that to be a politician, you must be able to talk cock, the more nonsensical the better. It's like good ethics to them. Talking about cock from the DPM, I remembered he said that M'sians will not understand the sufferings that the Japanese are going through because we have NEVER experienced an earthquake or a tsunami. What Cock! Some of us have experienced slight earthquake before and Penang has been hit by tsunami too. Of course not as serious as Japan's but still some of us HAD experienced it.

"Increase our own food supply". Wow, fantastic... So how does "it" suppose we do so? Perhaps we should just make sacrifices to the gods and in return ask for some food, or even better maybe we should ask Flint to help make some food drop from the sky, just like he did in "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs".

So after this cock, what's next!? Perhaps everyone will have to start digging wells to get their own water supply!? Or put your buckets outside to collect rain water, now that it has been raining heavily these few days! Jeez. I still wonder why are there people who will vote for Bullshit Nationwide when it is already known that bloody coconuts will manage the country.

Pat,

Control expenses like don't go to eat at restaurant everyday, perhaps at warong. Don't to see movie every week or change mobile phones every 3 months that sort of things.

The government themselves don't need to control expenses... Malaysia boleh....only the people need to adjust.

Does it mean she is free to organise even more "First Lady" conferences while the rest of us mere mortals try to plant padi in our "gardens" and ikat our perut to the point of starvation?

History is replete with examples of so-called leaders who try to fool the people while indulging in excesses.

And history has shown that no government can survive a starving people.

Witness Marie Antoinette of the "Let them eat cake!" infamy.

Why are the P.M. and his deputy dressed so western and above all so often, when Umno says to be called a Malay one has to habitually dressed in baju Malayu, as though they are attending a V.I.P.function with red handkerchief in the pockets ?
So are they really Malays when all the time they are not dressed in baju Melayu ?
Especially in a tropical country it is even most suitable to be dressed in baju Malayu.
I was recently down at the south pacific and most of the countries there I visited all the time I saw their P.M.s and other leaders dressed in their national costumes and most importantly, very proud of them too.

I totally agree with you. We can dress in anyway we like and we normally dress to bring out the best in us. We are proud of the way we dress and discard what makes us look silly to the outside world like the "penis guards" of some New Guinean natives. Obviously these 2 men feel they look much better in western suits than in their own baju Melayu with its sarongs and headdresses in various forms. One must not talk about "ketuanan" and in the same breadth discard all their identity and cultural artifacts.

You should not call najib manaukau 5.02pm "stupid pendatang" unless you are cleverer than him. In your case I have much reservation.

najib manaukau said...

Anon 8.34 AM,

Of course you can but then why do Umno have legislation requiring one to be a Malay one must wear baju Melayu habitually.
How many days in a week the Umno cabinet members wear baju Melayu ?
You are obviously pretending not to have read my comments on about calling yourself as the son of the soi when in actual fact you too are pendatang.
Go and read the blog 'What the fuck' of Patrick and then argue further and that is if you have anything to argue.
The Chinese are pendatang and proud of it and they are not great pretenders and descendants of pirates from Indonesia and the untouchable pariahs from India. Also why is Umno for years are calling for these pendatang to return to serve the country and with incentives and more incentives with each passing year with very little success.

very simple, Singapore have submarines. they took years to dive the submarine, lack of military skill. their submarines was sent by supplier. LOL! WE? our local navy were sent to France for training & brought the submarine back from France to Malaysia by ourselves... what can I say more?

Aiya, you really dumb lah! the DPM is a real visionary ...

There are sooooo many ways to increase food supply :

1. plant paddy, on your 6X4 garden. channel your drain water to irrigate the garden. rear catfish in the "paddyfield";
2. plant fruit trees on the roadside outside your house, no durian, please, dangerous.
3. use elevated platforms to plant veg and taugeh ... saw on tv the other day, you can do it on air.
4. use your roof to plant more padi or veg ... they have the technology now ... but have to leave space for Astro dish, okay.
5. rear chickens and ducks anywhere ... let them run free ... free range meat and eggs are good (and high value in the market)
6. extend to rearing cows and pigs and lambs ... anywhere ... even at the empty land next door or at the playground opposite your house ... no kangaroos, please, they are dumb and causes road accidents.
7. use your aquarium and feng-shui ponds to rear garuopa ... forget about goldfish and arowana!
8. recycle your poo-poo as fertiliser ... get rid of your toilet space ... do your business at your 6X4 garden ... direct fertilisation.
9. leave space in your car and fridge for planting temperate climate vegetable.
10. start a cooperative in your neighbourhood ... collective farming and husbandry.
11. extend your food supply by eating less. you lose weight, stay fit and healthy ... lower medical bills ... doctors & nurses have more time for domestic farming and animal rearing!!!

... the list goes on ...

Hey, can you imagine how much food we can produce using the PM's and DPM's residence!!!

Before long, everyone will be self sufficient and we may even be able to export the produce.

That, my friend, is first-class vision of our beloved DPM!!!

A country is like a public listed company. Employees, including CEO (PM), Senior Vice President (DPM), Vice Presidents (Ministers) and so forth. The owners are the shareholders (Rakyat) who hire (voted) and pay their salaries, bonuses if they do well on merit (nah....no bonuses since god knows when was the last time they did good.

So, you tell me.......who tells who to tighten the belt? Looks like in MALAYSIA, the employees tells the owners to tighten their belts. At the mean time, management demand from the owners a bonus to support their

Wake up shareholders, time to restructure to strenghten the corporation while we still have the time and resources.

Hazard 12.11 am, please speak intelligently. Please think before you speak, acknowledge that there are problems in UMNO thinking and motivation and half the problem is solved. Surely you know there is much commission to be made from any purchase of anything UMNO touches.Your silly defensive statement "what's wrong with that" tells me you are not only stupid but also most probably as bad as the corrupt UMNO thieves. Why don't you say what's wrong with the jet engines being stolen ? They are insured' aren't they ? You think like an idiot.

Will we be surprised to hear Najib suggesting we should purchase 2 aircraft carriers ? One to protect West Malaysia and one to protect East M'sia from the navies of S'pore or Indonesia or the Filippinos. You will go all the way with najib won't you, Mr Hazard. Your thought processes are a hazard to you. This is particularly true when you speak of S'pore and the misplaced pride in the unsinkable subs. What is so difficult about bringing home a sub from France ? If that is a great achievement then your standard like other M'sian standards is very low. To quote you......what more can I say.

A very large number of Sarawak sons and daughters of the soil have lost their land and means of survival thanks to the 48 years of UMNO PBB BN rule of pillage and plunder of native land and timber wealth.

Many thousands of ulu brothers and sisters have been driven off their traditional land and impoverished to make way for privatised timber logging, dam buildings and later the NCR lands laid bare were sold off for oil palm plantations.

A small single powerful family and ruling elite and their cronies and timber tycoon clique have been the main beneficiaries of this shameful organised theft of native wealth. This wealth is our national wealth. Most dispossessed landowners never recent one cent for this outrageous crime against the people by the “government” and if any payment was made it was not sufficient compensation and too late.

Life since 1963 has become a continued decline from the “good old days” to the “new bad times” of so-called “independence in Malaysia”. The land robbery coupled with the plunder of our country’s oil has turned Sarawak and also Sabah into the poorest “states of Malaysia”. The wealth has been drained to finance the “development” of Malaya and sadly to the overfilled pockets of the corrupt Kuala Lumpur ruling elite.
