Cannot understand why those MCA flers like Yennie are making noise that Singapore is asserting that Yee San is Singapore's heritage food.

If you look at Malaysian tourism brochures, only malay food is promionently featured. So MCA have not doen their work to showcase malaysian Chinese food as Malaysian heritage in the very first place!

fyi : actually, dragon-year will begin after the '4thFEB 6.23pm' !

It is so ironic that Perkasa attracted many more people for their RM10 'angpow' (pek kim) than their core activities in the past.

It proves two things: people are simply pragmatic (for the money) and Perkasa simply has no real following for its core mission.

Mah Chow Hai! Ibrahim Ali gave White Envelope Ang Pows! If he chooses to say that he didn't mean anything bad or that he ran short of Red, Can i say that; "We ran short of beef, So We Serve you Pork?!" Mah Chow Hai!

Those chinese who attended Perkasa open house deserve to be belittled with a white envelope as it signifies the death of their pride and integrity. By attending the racist organization ope house like Perkasa is accepting that the chinese is easily bought over by a mere RM10.00 white ang pow. Such a shameful development.

Shit to Perkasa said...

Ibrahim Ali is a hypocrite of the highest order. What a condescending and patronising event.

Why we give him the time of day is a mystery. He has called all non-Malays ‘pendatang' in the past, and now he is giving Chinese old folks RM10 each. He talks about continuing the outdated NEP (New Economic Policy) and the 30 percent equity target - measured how, exactly?

How much longer must the hard-working people in this country continue to subsidise those who by dint of their race and skin colour, sit back and take, take, take? They will never become self-sufficient even in another 50 years.

The people at the top of the government obviously realise this (they must, don't they?), but need to keep the divisions between the races to bolster their continuing but slipping hold on power. The time is coming for dramatic change - just wait and see!

‘Pak kum’ and not ‘ang pow’ were given out at the Perkasa CNY open house. ‘Pak kum’ is for funeral, whilst ‘ang pow’ is for joyous occasions like CNY , weddings and birthdays. How could Ibrahim Ali and his Perkasa be ignorant ? Haven’t they attended Chinese funerals before or visit Chinese homes celebrating CNY or attend Chinese weddings? He and his committee members in Perkasa would surely have seen banks giving out ‘ang pow’ envelopes when CNY approaches. No, just like the cow head demonstrators who know that the cow is sacred to the Hindus, they did it on purpose. Similar to the 2 non-Christian fellows who went into a church to participate in the Holy Communion and spit out the ‘bread’. Maybe their intent is to incite a violent reaction. The BN govt is not doing anything about these transgressions, but in fact is seen to be abetting them. This reason is enough for the rakyat to make a change of govt come this GE.

MALAYSIANS ( CHINESE & INDIANS ) WHAT HAS BECOME OF YOU ????
BEING TAKEN FOR A RIDE UNASHAMEDLY BY YOUR GOVT.WHO DO NOT SEEM TO HAVE AN OUNCE OF INTEGRITY. WHAT A SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS - MIGHT AS WELL BE RULED BY THE TYRANT MUGABE.

M'sia tax deduction methods - Fair?

When non-Malays do their religious obligations, it is NOT tax deductable unless the Church or temple has applied and obtained the approval for tax exemption, which is normally very stringent and seldom approved..

Even if approved the donation is restriced to 7% of your aggregate income.
(This has been revised to 10% from YA 2009 for company.)
Whereas zakat qualifies for 100% and is deducted from the tax liability.

Example.
Ah Chong donate to temple : RM10,000.
His Annual income : RM100,000.
Tax Relief : RM 23,000 (For Individual) + RM 7,000 (For Donation)
Chargable income : RM70,000
Tax payable : RM7,125

Ahmad - same income and relief
Chargeable income : (RM100,000 – RM23,000) = RM77,000
Tax payable : (Rm7125 + 1680) = RM8,805
Less zakat : RM 10,000
Tax refundable : RM (1,195)

Ah Chong has the same annual income & donated the same amount, but he still needs to pay tax of RM7,125
Yet, Ahmad is entitled to a tax refund of RM1,195.
He is also deemed a dutiful tax payer and honours his religious obligations.

How do you like that?

THIS IS CRUDE BUT STRAIGHT TO THE POINT !

Do you know that 90% of the people paying income taxes in Malaysia are the non-Malays?

Yes, you are one of them. Malays who are taxable usually prefer to contribute to Zakat (tax deductible from NETT tax) and give to State Religious bodies (not Govt or Income Tax Dept)

PAY YOUR TAXES DUDE, SO THAT THE UMNOs CAN ENJOY THEIR LIVES AND CALL YOU PENDATANGS !

13th GE is your last chance for CHANGE !

If you are a Christian, kindly advise if 'Dragon' is associated with evil in the bible. This is because a friend told me that his Christian relatives are offended when ang pow with dragon image is given to his kids.

Happy New Year Pat.
Can you tell us ...who invented the
"Yee Sang " dish?
Malaysians and Singaporeans are arguing....each claiming to be the originator.
I say...it is Honk Kong...copied by Singapore and Malaysia later.
What's your take?

Sorry la for the long silence. I have been trying to get the inspiration to write but have not found anything worth writing about. Maybe the long holidays had something to do with my feeling of total lethargy when it comes to Niamah!!! writings. Thanks for your concern. I am not in jail or been "silenced". Thank you.

Just get a copy of NST or The Star and I bet your inspiration will come back.
