Lu faham ka?

Jalan Alor is already a tourist attraction.
Or did the tourism minister not know this.

Errrr....gua pun tak faham la. For as long as I have been in KL (40+ years) Jalan Alor has always been known as a "food haven" as the new Federal Territories minister, Tengku Adnan describes it. And for as long as I can remember Jalan Alor has been a tourist magnet. So, my question is why this sudden need for a project to upgrade Jalan Alor into a “food paradise of international standards”.

Sure, get DBKL to clean up the place and order the hawkers to adhere to a clear set of rules governing hygiene and garbage. That I think should be the minister's main concern. Not this need to provide Utusan Malaysia with more crap to write about. Agree or not?

---o0o---

The National Education Blueprint (PPPM) 2013-2025, scheduled to be launched next month, would be implemented and not be obstructed by objections from any quarters, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Phwaaaar! Damn strong warning somemore. Does anybody know what this blueprint is about and what it do for our education system? I also wonder if our minister of education and anyone else in the ministry has ever watched and heard this man talk about education.

NIAMAH!!!

Umno wanted to turn Jalan Alor into a full-time Bazaar Ramadan?

it is a real pity that only fools and idiots have been appointed as Education Ministers in Malaysia.

To begin with the new mister of tourism is trying to make things difficult for the hawkers there. He knows that the voters there are never the voters of Umno/BN. So what the heck is he going to worry about ?

I dont think anyone from the Ministry will understand what is being said in the video even if they watch it. As to deputy PM, he belongs to the 1st category of people who are immovable; he doesn't get it, doesn't want to get it and will not get it.

Patrick,

Good point about Jalan Alor - why the sudden interest?

A good cleanup and improved hygiene is more than sufficient to retain the old-world charm and atmosphere of Jalan Alor.

There is something fishy about this Jalan Alor business.

Re education.

Aiyah!!! What's the matter with you, Patrick?!

Didn't you know that the Malaysian education system is better than that in the UK, the US, Germany, etc etc?

Of cos, the DPM does not want anybody meddling with something so good.

Eerr.. what's in the blueprint?

Eerr...the Malaysian education is now going to be so good that students from the UK, US, Germany will be clamouring to study here?

The FT minister may be want to modernize Jalan Alor to make it more attractive,so excusable lah.
But this crap newspaper(Utusan) and the donkeys inside just like to make issue so to make their paper more saleable.
This DPM,I think he drinks too much cow milk(the name also sounds like that)so much so his character is like a cow(very tough).

As far as Jalan Alor is concerned, the sole reason for the Tourism Minister remark is to trigger a project so that he will also get some "share" lah!! Masyukkkk!!! It is UMNO what!! UMNO and masyukk berpisah tiada!

The education blueprint is flawed!

What is the point to memperkasakan my BM when I cannot get into local university on merit? Would I get credit in overseas universities for my strong command of BM?

Lu pikirlah sendiri!

A former cabinet minister, and a Utusan Msia group director Zainudin Maidin can just use an unfounded reason to accuse other but then says "My writing gave the impression that pork was served on their flights. This is not at all true"... Not true? the title was "Hidangan Babi Dalam Penerbangan Air Asia, Orang Islam Patut Tangguhkan Dulu Terbang Dengan Pesawat Ini".

Not sure whether i'm too dumb to understand his statement or he is too dumb to understand his own statement or he is playing dumb...

Dear PM,

I hope that you will do the next right thing - that is to cut off wastages and leakages like the AES project, exorbitant subsidies to gas supplied to privatised power plants, bailouts of this and that individual crony, cattle reared in condos project etc. When you do the right thing, many of us on the fence whether Malays, Chinese, Indians and our Sabahan/Sarawakian brethren will give you the full support. And we will be proud of you no matter what the past was. However, if you dont take this opportunity to right what is wrong now, GE 14 will be the new emblem for BN's total collapse. If the populism of today continues, then GE 14 will be the horror of horrors for BN. Of course, by then Malaysia would have fallen back to where we started 20 years ago. And our rating by Fitch, S&P and what not would have dropped to such a low level that there would be no hope for our nation to achieve 2020 success. Mr PM, please do the needful to help the nation and yourself. We need your leadership.

Malay NGOs comprising small business associations want Kuala Lumpur Mayor Ahmad Phesal Talib to scrap a RM12 million plan to develop a world class hub for Chinese food on Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang.

If they are truly concerned about malay businesses as they claim, they would ask the government for money to develop a similar hub for malay food instead of demanding to block development for others. obviously another ploy to frighten the non-malays. in this case, chinese esp.
