Thursday snippets

The Communication and Multimedia Ministry proposes that the "patriotic spirit" can be promoted by playing the Negara-Ku before the start of the feature in cinemas. Do you think so? Its just like thinking that the more Jalur Gemilang flags that you fly the more patriotic you are. And when you fly a tattered Jalur Gemilang what does that say about your 'patriotism'?

After 1Malaysia it's next going to be Malaysia:Endless Possibilities. When are our leaders going to stop telling us what could be and concentrate on what can be now? We all now what our future can be. Will you help us get there is the question. And yes we do know that Malaysia has endless possibilities and we're really scared shitless! Thank you.

If you think Najib's Chinese New Year Koong See Far Chai television commercial was laughable, take a look at his new one that was aired on CNN

I wonder why Najib never look straight into the camera?
Why the video portray him from the side angles? Why show close up of his hand?
Is the video trying to portray him as an ACTOR or what?
Why can't speak straight into the camera which people will really appreciate what you are trying to promote. NIAMAH!

Hey Patrick, don't lah put down everything that our beloved supreme leader does. I actually like the video, especially the part where our leader speaks about endless possibilities. Look at the glow in his eyes when he talks about the endless possibilities for Malaysians but was probably thinking about the endless possibilities for himself personally. YOU should learn from him about the art of acting. You can use this for your next acting foray.

I read somewhere that this endless possibilities stuff was actually used by some country in the middle east earlier this year to promote an initiative. That country happened to be the only one that our Malaysian passports forbid us to enter. I wonder that's true ..... I mean the coincidence in using the term 'endless possibilities'.. Anyway, our leader did say there are 'endless possibilities' ....... ;)

This is a tale of 'Endless Possibilities'!

So the Court of Appeal freed Special Action Unit officers Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar of the charge of murdering Mongolian translator Altantuya . So what happens next? Why didn’t the police immediately, outside the court, re-arrest them for manslaughter instead of first degree murder in this case? It would be open-and-shut case as in the police report Sirul confessed that they were paid between RM50,000 to RM100,000 to kill Altantuya. The police frequently in the past were always ready to re-arrest suspects (not to their liking?) when freed by the judge outside the door of the courts?

It seems that many of our readers had seen this coming. All of us should be in Hollywood as producers as many got it right as the scripts written by ‘professionals’ in the pillars of power are what we had said. We are not going to comment on the defence lawyers of the both criminals as they were privately engaged. However, it is not the same with the public prosecutors, police and the High Court judge Md Zaki Yassin; they were paid by us. From the Courts of Appeal they put all the blames on these three parties for all the ‘loopholes’ and ‘mistakes’ that got both convicts acquitted. Therefore we demand the AG to sack the Deputy solicitor-general III Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah who led a team of prosecutors that comprised DPP’s Manoj Kurup and Noorin Badaruddin for such blatant dereliction of duty.

Judge Md Zaki was the party was also at fault as pointed out by the higher court for ‘obvious mistakes’ and therefore he must be penalised. We are watching to ensure that he will not be promoted in the near future. If it is otherwise, then we know for sure that the case that he judged is not what it seems to be. As for the police the blame was the inconsistency in police testimonies; to put it bluntly it is called perjury in court. Will the AG institute contempt of court against the erring police officers? This is a farce we cannot accept. This will not end here. Justice for Altantuya will not rest until the killer/killers are punished.

Patrick,
I remember they tried this airing Negara Ku in our cinemas in the late fifties / early sixties but it did not work and was stopped as not every stood up and those who did heckled those who did not. Leading to a raucous of shouting matches. Some stood up and were eating tidbits, some were talking , others were not standing erect as should be. All this is against the code of conduct of respect to the N.K .Personally I don't think the cinemas is a right place to play the N.K to a captive audience. Lets keep the playing of N.K at official functions and public events and keep it out places of entitlement .

If someone is going to write a book or make a movie of the Altantuya story - call it AWAKENING II. An unclean job right from the start to remove evidence - victim is C4ed, primary suspect is released and allowed to migrate, immigration records blotted, private investigator dissappeared and reappeared only to die mysteriously, phantom suspects freed by technical default. And all these evidences were on public display - where do you want to hide your face Jib and TDM ? Malaysians are ashamed of this episode. The truth is out there. Sure meletop one!

Has the judge had made a blunder in the Altantunya case?
His judgment ought to be penalised for the messup. Why not retrial?
Remember that the two have admitted to the crime.
What more is needed to execute judgment.
In all normal cases the admission to a crime makes for easy judgment.
It's all a show.
Having admitted to the crime why appeal? For a lighter sentence perhaps.
To be freed is unacceptable.
Now even if they appeal a life sentence is the least for the murder of the woman and her unborn baby. Not a release of the two.
Let the world see their faces.... unless all these are just a Cover-Up. Endless Possibilities indeed!

This is how Malaysia justice system work:

Do something wrong > Go to court > Get guilty verdict > Appeal > Acquitted. Sound familiar? This is how the Allah case is going to end as well.

The sad reality of Malaysia as Mederka Day approaches ... Massive outflow of funds via the servicing of public and corporate debts, payment of dividends to foreign companies, illicit funds outflow, slower growth of exports, the lessening of trade surplus, slightly lower growth of the economy (4.5% to 5%) has caused the value of the ringgit to slide downward causing inflationary pressure to go up.

Malaysian of Indian descents are discriminated for generations. They scrape a subsistence living in the estate with under extreme poverty and the problems was hidden in the estates nobody see it. The last couple of decades since 1980's many of the estates was converted to housing area etc by rich UMNO cronies. The poor estate Indians mostly educated in Tamil school up to primary level was dumped into the streets after the estates they worked for generation was taken away. Mostly without any decent compensation of few generations of hard labor. To make things worst, UMNO cronies imported millions of cheap labor to displace the poor Indian further. They were left by their own and become urban squatters. They cannot find jobs and ends up as gangster to scrape a living. Now we are seeing the results of decades of UMNO Baru racism - started from apa name Mamak Kutty and he is an Indian descendent how ironic.

UMNO is going to make Malaysia even more patriotic by "merging" all "Indian" parties as it is easier to control the "1Mandore" (less difficult that 1Malaysia).Of course the Punjabi Party is not Indian as everyone in MIC knows. We Eurasians donot even have a party except at X'mas. I am so patriotic (and disgusted at that) that I migrated!

The fictional tales of Tanda Putera, with the purpose of bashing the Chinese community as we clebrate Hari Merdeka:

1. A scene shows a group of Chinese youth urinating on a flag pole bearing the Selangor flag, outside the residence of the then state menteri besar Harun Idris.

2. Another scene at a cinema, the screen suddenly blacks out, replaced with Mandarin words asking the Chinese to leave the venue, which they do. A man then shouts out, in Malay, why there were Chinese words on the screen and demands the movie be put back on. Then, suddenly, the remaining audience in the cinema is massacred.

3. Throughout the build-up of tensions and race riots, there is a mysterious Chinese man who observes the happenings. He is later revealed to be a communist leader – indicating that the communists may have had a hand in orchestrating the mayhem.

Suhaimi Baba’s “creative licence” is unfairly calculated to stir up Malay hatred for the Chinese and the DAP, especially in the hearts of those who are too young to know what really caused May 13.

To think that our hard earned money should go towards making one racist woman rich at the expense of national unity and racial tolerance.
