"Malays and other Bumiputeras will be unable to enter the automotive business without the AP system because they are unfamiliar with the market" - Dr Mahathir
If you're unfamiliar then LEARN. Don't ask for handouts! Whoever started out being familiar with anything already? Did Mahathir asked the university to give him a degree because he wanted to be a doctor but was unfamiliar with how to become one properly?

This headline in The Malaysian Insider caught my eye......

Dr Mahathir says ending APs means ending Proton and Perodua

As a Malaysian consumer I say that I could care less. What do you say?

Read the whole ridiculous story here...

The "fear" propaganda used by BN leading up to GE13 "was one the most effective weapons". DAP was used as a bogeyman and its leaders were accused of all sorts of things – from being Communists to wanting to create a Christian state in Malaysia and to being anti-Islam and anti-Malay.

Pakatan must fight back against these lies and propaganda spread by the BN. But more needs to be done. More creative messages and channels are needed in order to assuage the fears of Malays that their rights and livelihood would not decrease under PR but that their lives would actually be better under a PR government.

Former tourism minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen racked up a RM2.71 million bill for overseas trips between 2010 and January this year, at a time when Putrajaya was telling Malaysians to tighten their belts and adjust their lifestyles because of rising living costs. Niamah!!!!

On the same level playing field, that is without favouritism, Proton would be long gone bankrupt. Who really want to buy such sub-standard cars? Mahathir has always been a failure throughout his life. Which of his pet projects ended up a success? Bakun Dam? Perwaja? Putrajaya? The infamous crooked bridge of the Singapore causeway? Langkawi Project? Hicom, Maminco and a lot more. This sinful man has wasted untold billions to shore up his image, but disasters are all over the corners. The only thing he did well is swelling the egos of many stupid semi-educated and foolish kampong folks believing that the Malays are progressing well into this new space age. Malaysia boleh mah! YEH! boleh sapu all the wealth of this nation without being answerable to the laws. So we have PERKASA, some bodyguards, to create mischiefs in the event of his arrest. Oh, this is high time the moronic stupid kampong folks wake up from their slumber.

This egregious Mahathir has for once been truthful when he admitted, ending APs , would means the end of Proton,or shall it really be known as Mitsubishi, or shall I call it with the real name the unwanted Mitsubishi.
Malaysia has not or will never have the technical knowledge to build a car and to be truthful not even a motorbike.
I have never and will never buy a Proton and would rather pay more for a foreign built one. Why should Malaysians be compelled to pay just to keep 150,000 unemployable going ?
Instead it should be the egregious Mahathir that should come up with a fraction of the 44 billion he stole to keep the 150,000 going if at all he is so concerned with their employment !
Why should millions of Malaysians be held to ransom just so 150,000 be employed because of this egregious Mahathir said so ?
He may be a poorly qualified doctor but he is surely not a qualified engineer or a qualified economic consultant. Why is it then he is appointed as an advisor of Proton ? And what has this egregious Mahathir contributed to the growth of the company ? Doubtless he must have received hundred of thousand of ringgit for his ill advices ?

PROTON is mamak kitty's baby,so he wants to make sure his legacy remains. But this is at the expense of those buying the car.So actually the rakyat is paying for their survival.
Is this fair play?

How come our history book never mentioned Lembah Bujang Hindu civilisation which predates the Malay Civilisation? These are national treasures and our national heritage.

Is our history book going to be rewritten the way Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat and Hang Lekir lost prominence because they are Chinese?

Proton should ask GM to bring their Holden production line to Malaysia. Then just change the badge and Proton will have a world class car for sale -- a sure winner with third world salaries paid to the workers. The rubbish being produced currently is out of date and unsaleable anywhere. You know it makes sense.

For the last 56 years MCA has behaved like a Poodle to UMNO. What power does MCA hope to get from UMNO? Get serious do you think MCA represents the Chinese ? The ground reality is MCA is dead and gone and are deem not only traitors to the Chinese but a pariah community in the Chinese, In terms of respect if at all any are to be given to MCA , the Chinese respect for the MCA representing the Chinese Community is as much as they see Riduan Tee Abdullah a loyal Chinese. So you can imagine .

These idiotic Umno politicians are telling the Malays that they should only follow Sunni Islam and it is illegal to follow Shiite Islam.

Many people who believe in religion such as the Christians, just like the Muslims, have various denominations such as Catholics, Protestants, etc.

In the 21st century, unlike in Malaysia, we have not heard of any democratic country in the world where the ruling government says that only one version of the religion can be practiced and anyone practicing a different version would be prosecuted.

The Malaysian constitution says that there is freedom of religion in the country. Hence Umno's actions to persecute and prosecute the local Shiites are unconstitutional, they make the country a laughing stock in the world.

They antagonise the countries like Iran and Iraq where the majority of the Muslims are Shiites and the millions of Shiites around the world and all the democratic countries in the world will be amazed at Malaysia's narrow mindedness and stupidity.

Once more our nation’s attention is diverted with the Shia issue to cover up the high increase in the cost of living for all Malaysians.

This is due to the withdrawal of the oil and sugar subsidies, increase in electricity tariff, the proposed introduction of GST, hike in assessment rates and increase in LRT and monorail fares.

Umno Baru conned the rakyat into giving money to the government, as if it were doing the rakyat a favour. In exchange, the rakyat’s money was used to fund the lifestyle of the jet-setting ministerial spouses, on their expensive foreign junkets and fashion shows. The ordinary rakyat have to make do with a nasi lemak bungkus and stale curry puffs, when they are ferried in coaches, to attend Umno Baru ceramahs.

Instead of wailing, lamenting and demanding more Bumiputera participation in the economy, Malays should take a good look at themselves and ask why they have been left behind, said veteran politician Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.

Tengku Razaleigh, or known as Ku Li, noted that the number of Malays holding key positions in the corporate sector had decreased compared with previous years.

While Felda Global Ventures (FGV) has spread its wings to other countries and boosted trade, it did not involve many Malays.

"The halal product industry is sadly controlled and dominated by non-Malays. The most disappointing thing is that several Malays, who founded local businesses, are no longer the owners but workers of the companies," Ku Li said when opening the 4th Perkasa general assembly in Kuala Lumpur today.

"Let me make it clear, these developments are not related to racial issues or the special rights of Malays being ignored.

“The core of the issue is that Malays have lost their edge in an increasingly competitive business arena."

Malays can no longer blame others for monopolising economic wealth in Malaysia because they have been given numerous opportunities and aid.
