If no Will, then you will die intestate and the law lays down who will inherit what and what share, etc. If you have a Will, the law can still change the law because your dependent is handicapped, has special needs or needs spousal support from you, etc. It is a bit complicated and I suggest use a good lawyer to draw up your Will. Also, make sure that your executor is not a professional (e.g. a lawyer) to avoid paying him for the time spent on administering your estate (after all you are not his/her parent!).
